If you need an example, the YouTube channel Photonicinduction has plenty. But what is your take? We can size it up to planets being destroyed. Humans dying or, in Photonicinduction's many examples of over powering circuits.

An example in my life, being someone working all the time and trying to get out in the world on my own. I sometimes enjoy breaking old things that no longer have a use to me. Instead of preserving or selling them as some would.

There is a general sense of forward momentum in us all. Either it be science, religion, or just philosophy.

But on the other end of the spectrum there is a sense of destruction. Backwards momentum if you would call it that. Look at all the murder shows and war movies. There is a strong interest.

What is your take on it?

Man is both a hapless, insecure, frightened, buffoon and at the same time a crazed, egotistic, sadistic, killer clown. What ultimate good can come from such a creature? He's fit only for hell--and that's precisely where he's going.

A choice between the philosophies of General George S. Patton (blood and guts-- fought over landscape less substantial than a pinhead: "All other human activity pales in comparison to war.") and Carl Sagan (looking at Voyager 2 camera pointed back at Earth-- "All of the battles of all the generals who ever fought did so over this insignificant speck of cosmic real estate")?

If the whole speck and everything that was ever on it just winked out of existence, it would not change the entropy of the universe by any noticeable amount, so what's really the point?

As the universe spins to a desolate end
In the doldrums of destiny's sea,
So should I accept being as
    Reasonless as the firmament's futility...
    But here am I
    Holding your hand
