I'm suffering from chronic foureyedness since age 4 and have used up a large amount of glasses. The most common problem is that they break, the screws loosen and fall off, you can't find them etc, fix it with temporary solutions until you decide to buy new ones. Nowadays glasses don't last longer than a year because the materials are made to fall apart it seems. So today I thought about that and wonder how can one invent better and longer lasting glasses and the idea I got was rubber, rubber glasses. I tried to google it, but google isn't working for me right now.
But even if it exists as an invention, why is it not in common use already? It would be so much better. One can coat them with a thin layer of glossy elastic plastic to make them more comfortable against the skin and for pattern variations of course.
