The other poster in question had made extraordinary claims and got upset when his deluded perspective was attacked (not even aggressively), this caused him to respond poorly in response to those attacks (which might have just been as simple as providing contradictory evidence) this in turn led to him befouling the place with Ad hominem's and it grated on a number of posters here. He went further with this by contradicting himself many times over possibly due to become more irrational the more worked up he got. He probably could of nipped that all in the bud to begin with if he'd had better coping mechanisms.

However it got worse over time, he got banned (Mostly due to his position on how he disagreed with the term of Paedophilia for someone that has sexual thoughts about minors which this site isn't about.), then he reappeared under a different username with an attitude already developed by how he felt he was previously persecuted. This got him identified and banned quickly, (not banned by the moderators because he had reappeared but because he still hadn't learnt a coping mechanism for critique) He then reappeared a number of times after that, it's also likely that he probably did get some other new members wrongly identified as him to which means it was no longer him just suffering a persecution complex but people that otherwise wouldn't have developed one.

You do indeed share a similar attitude due to your need to be noticed (proven by multiple of posts when one would suffice and the need to use multiple accounts to complain when you suffered a temporary ban), I'm not saying you are one in the same, in fact I'm telling you all this so that you can make a Copenhagen Interpretation of your own and not become like the precursor that you might be saddled with. (Considering the previous posts, remember to use Google if you don't know what it means. That by the way isnt' a dig at you, that's just pointing out if you don't get what I meant look it up or ask, either or both.)

He also had a habit for dishonesty, not fully quoting posts, not sourcing information correctly (being selective about what he wanted to present). This is why I loaded a barb about it to you to see how you'd respond (again you might claim unfairly, but you don't want to be lumbered with people thinking your someone else, so what better way of proving a disassociation other than by creating something that he'd have to bite)

Just a quick question, perhaps it's a test or not, did you enjoy your Hogmanay? (again you might need Google if you don't know)

I had to google it, at least you gave a warning this time around.

I had a wonderful new year thank you. I got so much done and with very little alcohol. I was almost teetotal.

We should get your thread back in shape now.

As I've said I'm pretty sure that Salisbury was a Live Fire training exercise caught by someone that knew one was occurring. I base this of course on that being the usual thing for people to get noticed online (think they've had hits on their youtube channel due to their video, the controversy is what made it popular)

I've actually seen a video not on Youtube you've find more unexplainable, basically a friends dog ate a spider and spat it out on the floor in bit (it's legs were all disattached), they videod it because the legs were wiggling still and as they continued to watch the legs started to move back torwards the spiders torso like it was trying to rebuild itself. It wasn't CGI, or camera tricks, the only possible conclusion was that local radio-frequency from celltowers etc might have cause the spiders nerves to twitch.

As for your reasoning on the threads subject, you've read a lot of things online and believe a lot of them. That's understandable I was much the same in my late teens, however I got to a point where I started to question not just the government cover-ups that were suggested, but also the very people that made the suggestions. I found there was usually a far greater depth of deception to why they would have such beliefs perhaps because they were being ignored, being delusional or thought they knew better. It made me realise that they weren't being objective enough, objective means coming up with all the rational human created answers to test and make sure they didn't fit before speculating that what is left, no matter how irrational, must be the truth. (Paraphrase of Sir Arthur Conan Doyles, Sherlock Holmes)

Another example of deception is something a friend did, he wrote a report/article that got published in a UFO magazine about a local UFO sighting, it was actually completely bogus, he made it up but it did end up published and people like added that to their belief systems as "Proof" of the unexplained.

I've consulted a friend who worked at the MoD, indeed he replied to me

''Probably some sort of military night exercise (there are plenty of bases and training areas around there), but impossible to be certain about this. If I'd still been at the MoD it would have been easy to check, but that's not possible now.''

You can't start with conclusions, you have to start with a factual description of what you are seeing, then analysis, then you get to conclusions. That's what I asked for and that's indicative of your problem: you start with a knee-jerk reaction driven by your bias, then twist anything you see to fit that. You never do a real scientific analysis! And I'm reasonably sure it is because you dont know how and don't care.

I'm aware of this, which is why I have suggested that the most likely explanation is that they are extremely luminous flares in which a parachute activates only a split second after the drop. The only thing I can't add up properly is why the objects don't show an erratic behaviour in the air as you would expect from flare activity.

Bullshit. The title says this is "compelling" you said in the first post that you think it is "real" and a similar sighting to when you saw what started you onto the aliens-are-among-us religion. And you explicitly stated that there were no conventional explanations.

At least have the stones to acknowledge you were wrong. Don't pretend that you were on the skeptics' side all along. No one is buying it and it just makes you look even worse.

Yes the video was real, as in... a real video, not CGI and yes... it was compelling to the investigator.

I wasn't careful enough, yes I did say this. Perhaps I should have said, no obvious conventional explanations I was aware of... until I started juggling with the idea that they were flares and used parachutes - in which case, yeah... investigators are allowed to change their mind you know.

If this is the ''big mistake'' your dwelling on, enjoy.
