I exist, but you are all a figment of my imagination.

    "No, I am Spartacus."

"I don't understand how you can believe his lies, Frederick. Especially since you and the other robots of Zombie Island should have perfect immunity from threats of solipsism. As you yourself have admitted, the personal thoughts and perceptions of the mechanical inhabitants here are empty body functions. You have an advantage over sensory-deprived humans only in the sense that you do respond to and can identify objects around you, though they are not present with the psychological character of sight or sound or feeling. So how can you accept that von Hauptmann is God, simply because he proclaims to be the only person who has experiential evidence of his thoughts and perceptions? Even if true, how would that somehow equate to everything else having being only as a mere superficial facade in his perceptions? Why, you once declared that your fellow robots doubted me and other visitors to the island when we testified as having such powers, of having experiences. But now you all only exist because von Hauptmann perceives you? He lectures that he is the sole organism with such an ability, and you suddenly accept this claim from a vile individual like him?"

"Cathy, he just made a more convincing case than the rest of you. I mean, when von Hauptmann's crew unloaded the atom bomb from the ship, and he elaborately explained how he was impervious to death and could detonate it at anytime with the multiple triggering devices implanted in his body... Well, it became self-evident that his assertions of truth are what carry weight."

Solipsism (Listeni/ˈsɒlɨpsɪzəm/; from Latin solus, meaning "alone", and ipse, meaning "self") is the philosophical idea that only one's own mind is sure to exist. As an epistemological position, solipsism holds that knowledge of anything outside one's own mind is unsure. The external world and other minds cannot be known, and might not exist outside the mind. As a metaphysical position, solipsism goes further to the conclusion that the world and other minds do not exist. As such it is the only epistemological position that, by its own postulate, is both irrefutable and yet indefensible in the same manner.

It is undeniable that some people do not have minds. There are some posters on this forum who fall into that category.

You sure have an exalted view of the capacities of your imagination. How do you justify the fact that you are not a famous author, if your imagination is so adept?
