This is probably old news to those of you that use Valve's Steam for any Computer related games, however they are currently in the process of signing people up for aiding them with their new Steam machine prototypes, they intend to send out 300 units for people to test. Anyone with a steam account can attempt to participate however there are a few hoops to jump through if you want to chance in participating.

My son told me about this project. More power to them - somebody has to challenge the big boys and I think Steam has the right attitude to do just that.

The Steam Machines may be a good way to lure Console players to PC titles due to the ability to upgrade hardware and have access to Mods for games.
