If anyone lives in the St. Louis area please tune into news channel 5 tonight at 10! http://www.ksdk.com/news/promo/default.aspx

They're interviewing my aunt and cousin about the BRCA gene mutation, and hopefully they'll mention her foundation for metastatic breast cancer as well! Only a very small percentage (like 2%) of the funding for breast cancer goes the worst kind which is metastatic. However, finding the cure for metastatic breast cancer would cure all the lesser stages of breast cancer as well. So, please if you want to fund breast cancer, please consider contributing to a metastatic breast cancer study!

I watched the interview at the posted link. Your relatives did a good job of explaining the impact of being diagnosed with the BRCA gene and how this awareness affects their lives. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your response. I should probably be tested myself, but I'm hoping the price of the darn thing will cheapen! I've been thinking of stepping up and just live life as though I do have the gene. It would be healthy for me anyway. My aunt doesn't eat meat(except certain sea food) or processed foods. That'd be hard for me! I love my red meat and convenience foods. I need to do it though. I bet my aunt would like that.
