Well folks, I guess it was all wishful thinking on behalf of the CHICKEN HAWKS of the Bush administration, huh? I mean, as soon as the coilition forces landed in Iraq the people of Iraq were suppposed to greet the coilition soldiers with Kosher chicken tacos, ice cold Corona's, a pinata or two, and that famous KENT STATE - vs - THE NATIONAL GUARD peace symbol: "Flowers in their gun barrel's!" Sadly--for Rumsfeld, the only thing that has been apparent since the CRUSADERS arrived has been the steel curtain of lead coming out of the Iraqi's AK-47's. ( Gosh, the guy that invented "The most widely used submachinegun in the world--should get a Nobel PEACE PRIZE, just kidding! ). Tonight as TheAZCowBoy left the gym after his tri-weekly handball games, he felt tears running down both his cheeks. Yes, it's hard for a MACHO MAN to admit that the pain of this war is deep and profound inside where he is "just" a boy, but indeed the sight of dead young boys of all colors from places like Kansas, East LA, Oklahoma and Texas, and other places I've never heard of before, arriving at Dover AFB in metal caskets and then on to anytown USA is enough to break ones heart. Well, I had my cry in the silence of the night--and made sure my eyes were dry when I arrived home. But indeed, it's nothing to be ashamed of--to be a human being feeling deep pain for America's young boys and girls that have been sent to war to settle a quarral between two political idiots who need a wheel barrow to tow their infinitesimally huge and very corrupt egos with them. Cowboy This kind of makes me wonder just how many of our frontline troops are from wealthy families. Very few I would think. Bush seems to have a problem with being able to "share the sacrifice". At the same time he is sending into combat kids who joined the military because there were no jobs, or they needed the educational benifits if they were ever to realize having a college education, he is asking for additional tax cuts for the wealthy. And he is doing this at the same time he is requesting that the children and grandchildren of the survivng troops pay for this war. TheAZCowBoy; Great post! I am sure there’re many people feeling like you. Even the most illiterate in politics would have to sense that something is wrong in this war. Perhaps there has to be dead US forces shown on TV to make people pause and look straight at the situation instead of turning heads and continue justifying that the Government knows better. The only thing that doesn’t fit into this picture is; Over 70% of our population feel right about the WAR and over 80% think Bush is second to God!! So, my friend. We may have to dry our own tears and realize that we brought all of this upon our selves. :m:

For that to be true, wouldn't it be a requirement that the Arab people control their on governments? And last I checked, a great majority, arguably all, Arab nations have little to no democracy. No?

there needs to be a global coailition of the aware ... stop our freaking politicians/dictators from killing our people ..both iraqis and americans ... collective resources and a 1 billion decible scream ......
