When asked why all the panhandlers standing on America's street corners are usually "white" ( and often Vietnam vets ) he grins, nods to the affirmative, but refuses to comment.

The fact that 40% of the US Marine Corps front line combat soldiers are Latino's doesn't make a dent to his racist sensibilities.

O'Reilly then comes to Arizona and joins the honkie "rednecks" around Tombstone who saunter around in their rhinestone cowboy boots with jinggling spurs, stetson hats and cheap Chinese made cowboy neckerchiefs--looking like morphed 21st century Klansmen from Mark Tree, Arkansas in the 1950's and talking trash in front of the FOX camera's.

While O'Reilly smirks ( and you thought Bush had a sinister smirk, huh folks? ).

Interestingly, I wrote to O'Reilly and asked him for his opinion on Jews that come to America and instantly qualify for:

1. Section-8 rent subsidies
2. Food stamps
3. Welfare benefits
4. Pell grants and scholorships for themselves and their children
5. Free medical insurance
6. Free Dental insurance
7. Pensions for their elders--people that have not worked a day
in the US in their entire lives!
8. SSI disability benefits for their sick & disabled that have never
paid a penny into Social Security!
9. Free legal aid assistance
10. The ability to petition the US government to bring "the rest of
their families to the USA!

In the past, the European left demanded the abolition of the professional army and the introduction of general conscription. At the time, that was a "progressive" idea.

When the left put on weight, it forgot all about it. The Vietnam war was still fought by drafted soldiers. Resistance to the war grew when the body bags started to arrive.

George W. Bush, who supported the war with all his heart, took no part in the fighting. Father arranged a job for him back home.

Good point, I asked a young college Republican during Desert Storm, why he didn't sign up if he was so pro-war?

His basic statement was, that as a Republican he was too smart for that, he was meant to be a leader. Seems other Reps felt the same way!

I may or may not entirely agree with the worldview of AZCOWBOY or the means of how to achieve certain objectives BUT:

Being Pro- or Anti- Jewish or somewhere Neutral does not have to stop you from appreciating the sarcastic humour and some valid points in AZCOWBOY posts.

Personally for example, I might disagree with the worldview of biblethmp on some issues but I do not close my eyes if he points at the wrongdoings of saddam hussain (you know , the plasticshredder stuff etc).

Those who can only think in terms of "us" vs "them" choose to deliberately close their eyes for realities that does not fit their believes... Now this narrow perspective is surely not gonna lead to peacefull solutions anytime soon. Maybe forcefull solutions, but you can therefore expect opposing parties with equal narrow view to use forcefull approaches as well...

Are you so sure of victory ? Maybe victory comes at a huger price than you expected to pay for it ?

I really need to move to the part of the country you live in - sounds like paradise! I mean I've live 40 years in New York and now I find out that the USA has a state that doesn't discriminate! Go figure!

Oh and by the way, as an African American who served in the military and who presently has a daughter in the Navy [gotta let them make their own mistakes], I feel the draft should be brought back with no exceptions.
