I'd wager better than 50% of all anti-war demonstators just did it because "they wanted to be part of something". Hehe.. no sheep here!

No wait, it's that "war is bad". Yeah... that's independent thinking at it's finest... think on, thinking thinkers!!!!!!!

    Protestors do NOT get it.

I am all for free speech. Unfortunately, anytime someone speaks up against liberals - they then forget about free speech. Witness Dr. Laura. Just because they disagreed with her, they postulated that she had "NO RIGHT" to be on television. The list is endless but liberals are fundamentally flawed and utterly hypocritical. I am just so glad that America is waking up to the damage liberals have done to this country. I support my President just like I supported Clinton in 1998 even though military action then was much more dubious than it is now.

God bless America - God bless President Bush

    Wes,
I am liking you more every day. Keep up the good work.

I would love to see the average age and income level of the average "protester". They are, for the most part, typically ignorant. Uh oh, another disputable statement. What ever will we do?

Perhaps it's better to be a hypocrit than to radiate and fade away.

Is this what you call "irony"?

It just occurred to me that I don't think I've ever seen a more hatefull group of a**holes that the "peaceniks". Is that ironic? I'm sure I've just got them all wrong

    *yawn*

It's weird that I'm generally kind of peacenickish too. I just think violence is retarded. I suppose the main reason I think differently from time to time is that.. well, the world is retarded. Sometimes force is necessary. I hate that, but it doesn't change shit. Deny it all you like.

    Better to be neither.
Not only is this war hypocritical but its putting the US in danger.

The US is already in danger. Did you notice that thing in New York?

Yeah, so? That doesn't mean we should strive to put ourselves in more danger.

The peace protesters are in the minority anyway. The latest poll figures in both Australia, USA and Britain show overwhelming support for the lads in Iraq. But I still defend the right to protest by these misguided idiots.

That's like having a 10 foot diameter umbrella and saying that I won't get wetter if I buy a bigger one. The danger is already immense, you think we're making it larger? I think we're just trying a little harder to manage the amount of hate for us there IS out there, regardless of what we do. I don't think they're gonna hate us more bro. We're already WAY WAY WAY hated. They're already motivated to jack us. What are you waiting around for? Shall I bitch slap you again before you realize I'm serious? They are serious... we must stop them. As of yet there is really only one way to do it, we have to outsmart them, outgun them, and figure out a way to make it so they can't do it again. For now when two parties hate each other and dimplomacy is exhausted (and I can only hope some day that scenario changes for the better.. though it's likely it will get worse regardless of our actions)... we're technologically limited to brute force, though that force is getting more gracefull, so to speak.

Oh, and if you're thinking that Iraq isn't the "THEM" in this situation, think again. On planet earth, two people hate the US more than anyone: OB, and SH. Hating us is the problem, f**king them up is our responsibility. Don't be irresponsible.

    Amen.

When the going gets tough the tough get going. Leaders aren't wimps. Look at any stray pack of dogs and it wont be the jack russel with the bitches. You want freedom and peace? You have to show you are prepared to fight for it. That means stamping out enemies. Not negotiating with them. No matter how politically fucking incorrect you think it is the world will always have wars. Its the nature of living things to compete and when you have super societies like today then it all gets scaled up.

Unless you want a world like in the novel 1984 where any and all signs of rebellion is squashed like a bug under the all pervading eye of big brother. Take away everybodys freedom to argue and think then there wont be any wars. No thanks. There will always be enemies and we will always have to fight them. If you dont like it then move to another planet.

I was only half serious and rounding up peace protestors then bombing them.

I'd use sheepdogs to separate the kids from the flock first. They are too young to know better.

    gOOD POINTS

    Azathoth,

I like that. Lot of good common sense being shown here, at least on one side.

I am no fan of Bush, nor of Isreal but Isreal is responding to Arab lack of common sense and concern for their own lives and standard of living.

They want their way and no other. Unfortunately for them their way cannot be accepted by a civilized world since their way is to kill all infidels.

It isn't a matter of peace with honor or living side by side, it is a matter of they live we die.

I can't accept that view. Why do you. ArroFAT has had plenty of opportunites to stop the fight and get on with a future. He doesn't want that but he is not going to get what he wants so the stupidity goes on.

Do we just give up and let them have their way? I think not.

One can only hope that the "Politically Correct" don't screw this up just like they did VIet-Nam.

To say that all peace protestors are stupid is a mass generalization and only shows your own closed mindedness. I could just as easily point out all the pro-war people who don't know the facts. theres extremes on both sides. There's many ways to look at any sittuations after considering all the facts, and a lot of it just comes down to your own personal believe, values and morals. You have your own and so do they. I especially love the "You often see interviews with them when they get questioned and [their] answer will always be something like 'oh well, we don't know anything about that but we do know that killinkg innocent people for oil is wrong'" bit. I've talked to just as many supporters of the war who have the same standard responses. "Saddam is bad. I don't know why, but he must be cause georgie bush says so.", or "saddam is an arab. All arabs are bad". It goes both ways. Theres ignorance everywhere, not just amont protestors.

"One can only hope that the "Politically Correct" don't screw this up just like they did VIet-Nam."

If the "politically correct" had not "screwed it up" we would still be fighting there.

I am an American, certainly not considered politically correct, and I will voice my opposition, exercise democracy and nonviolence, and screw this new Vietnam up because it is wrong.

I wouldn't worry or bother too much about the so called peace protesters too much, their motives are decidely suspect.

For most of them the prospect, albeit false, of being called up frightened them in their nappies (diapers for our colonial friends!). To others it was an excuse to bunk off school and to the majority, a chance to get out from under their mother's thumb for a few hours.

I do not take them seriously, nor will I. Here in the UK, at every anti this or that rally; the very same speakers are always present. "Mr Socialism" himself Tony Wedgewood Benn; Tam "Commie" Dalzeil. Glenda "I have Money & Power" Jackson and the usual sycophantic hangers on. The fact that they protest about anything and everything lends little credibility to any cause.

Protestors are the people that make you see the black side of yourself!

    Thus, we hate 'em!

I say it again, at least the Americans have the choice - the people of Iraq do NOT!
