My mom is going through alot of old paperwork, shredding what is not applicable. Here's a letter she found showing how much integrity my dad had. Dear Sir: On Friday, March 9, I received a letter that $20.00 had been deposited in my bank account in the <bank name> from the Department of Agriculture. I immediately phoned and informed you that I sold the land in Delta County to the <my aunt> estate in 2006. Enclosed is a check for $20.00 to cover the money deposited in my account that I should not have received. Yours Truly <My Dad> They don't make men like my dad anymore....it was just 20 bucks...but he needed to make it right.
Integrity is a rare quality, both then and now. I'm of two minds about it. One cynical and one idealistic. But still, in this context, I suspect I'd just agree with you and take a pull of my imaginary beer. *drinks*
i could have returned the $20 too if it was $20,000,000, i would be in s.america at least, i would like to think i'd have the balls to abscond and run
what's 20$? try returning 3000$ when you expect a check for 300$...which is what happened in my family, than we will talk about honor.
