I have decided to make a better poll. I Included all the territories that seem to be in need of liberation by the US.

Arrogance is the reason america is so successful. It is also called being passionate, willful, proud, driven, and the like. A certain ammount of arrogance is necessary if you ever want to get anything done. Many other countries, like much of europe, are phlegmatic and snobbish. Many arab countries are just plain psychotic.

(note: I automatically dislike anyone who uses the word "infidel" or "zionist" as derogatory terms every 5 seconds.)

that may be your oppinion, to me those words has notning to do with arrogance, to me arrogance is thinking you are better then every body else and everything you do is better/more correct then that of other people, arrogance is often in company with words like greed egoism stupidity.

    I second that!

And I may add that our land is full of ignorant hypocrites.

We are so successful aren’t we? In key international interests we line up and level up with dictators and third world countries. We successfully have the largest cocaine consumption in the world. The largest number of inmates in penitentiaries, and largest statistics on crime and murders and even more reduced liberties that other European society.
So, ..let us be proud and kiss the flag. We don’t have other choice.

To sit home, read one's favorite paper, and scoff at the misdeeds of the men who do things is easy, but it is markedly ineffective. It is what evil men count upon the good men's doing.

I would think it was obvious, but if you really need it broken down for you then...Saddam counted on nobody doing anything, as they had done nothing for 12 years. It is what evil men count upon the good men's doing.
Maybe some of the other trouble spots in the world will realize that there are those out there that will not sit there with their heads in the sand and hope the problem goes away.

but it is the usa and frinds attacking and what evers left doing nothing, so the usa are the evil ones

i found it strange because, even if the good man does not belive in running around destroying every thing that moves, does not mean he will not strike back or defend him self.
i still dont like the quote and have a hard time connectiong it to Saddam/usa.

actually im begin to think its fits better and better on the usa, with the usa as bad man and the world looking the other way(im not just thinking about GW2).

Oh.... you mean that by the word arrogant. Though we dont put it that way we see that in everybody else. THe Islamics who feel all who do not worship in their manner are infidels and thus ok to kill. The Europeans who look down on us as if we are barbariens. The same way we are accuses of feeling we are allways right France and Germany are acting the same way, feeling they know better than us.

I just figure we are all equally sinful bastards and so we should just do whatever we each think is right, not get in each others way, and see who lasts longest. The last man standing will be the most right.

I'm curious why you find cynicism toward American Mideast occupations troubling, RD.

The question seems flawed. Iraq isn’t being liberated, but enslaved under a new master. The Iraqis will get to vote when the wells run dry.

From here: “The proposals do not envision transferring power to an Iraqi-run government for several years.” Translation: The proposals, which cover the next several years, make no mention of transferring power to an Iraqi-run government.

I find that statement both extremely ill informed and completely without foundation - amazing conjecture!!!

Then I challenge you to show me the administration’s timetable for the democratization of Iraq. My foundation is the lack of such a timetable or any other concrete plans.
