So, what do you think about kony? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_Ue6REkeTA Good or bad? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J2P4Diu-TM Only a teen would bring you this- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji7IaxReuv8
You know it's funny, how many children died in WW2? (not in the death camps, in the cities which were bombed) how many in Vietnam? How many in Afghanistan and Iraq? So how can it be the single worst war crime if kids are the ones fighting. Also what magic age makes this a horrific war crime? My grandfather was 16 when he signed up for WW2, sure he lied but he was a kid, the army didnt do very much to check, ironic concidering that a young sales person in Woolworths who sells smokes or alcohol to someone underage is up for a MASSIVE PERSONAL fine even if they honestly just made a mistake but the army can't do basic background checks with the department of hatches matches and dispatches (birth, deaths and marriages)
Well, I personally like and support the campaign to bring awareness to Kony and the atrocities he committed, and I support bringing him to justice. However, I do not support Invisible Children, because I do not agree with the way the donations are spent. Also, it would've been nice if the message was spread earlier, but I do applaud the effort, better late then never. I also applaud their use of social media and youtube. BTW, the founder of Invisible Children jacked off in public, nothing to do with this or why I don't like Invisible Children but just an interesting fact, and it does impact a lot of people's decision making process when they decided whether or not to support his organization.
Not sure were vietnarm is. The difference is that this is happening now when we can do something about it and that already happened so we can't.
Here's a really interesting critique on the the whole Kony phenomenon titled "Dangerous Ignorance": http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/2012/03/201231284336601364.html It reminds me of when African intellectuals came out and critiqued the Food Aid concerts and all the "Do they know its christmas time" rubbish.
Dude...he got arrested. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...012-video-director-ranting-naked-emerges.html It was all over facebook and twitter a while ago #Horny2012! I lol'ed so hard... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
OK so I watched the videos. I was not impressed, as it seemed to be a Look at Me rather than a documentary. Kony is a bad guy, and needs to be captured. But child armies are nothing new in africa, and will continue with or without Kony. So why the focus on Kony? It is likely, when this started it was out of a genuine concern over what this recent grad found on his trip beyond the borders of the good ol' USofA. But as the video Good or bad? - points out.. Follow the money. http://www.sucre-ethique.org/Uganda-Museveni-s-and-Madhvani.html
Holy shit... What kind of idiot JACKS off in public? And runs around naked afterwards! Kinda the think Slim Shady would do, especially with the devil talk and all, LOL.
Tell me, if the whole world cant find the dude...how did a british journalist?... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Sps_3oTXfg
Their are not enough profane words in every language in history to explain my distaste right now. Africa has been in turmoil since guns were introduced to the continent during the slave trade. Child soldiers, dictators, civil war has been going on for a long time. Kony isn't the first and he damn sure won't be that last until people recognize Africa needs help more than anywhere.
