Maybe we have figured it out. I've seen plenty of re-enactments, some of which look quite plausible. There's just no way to confirm whether we are right or not.
You have to keep in mind that due to the immense weight of the huge stone blocks, they could only be transported to the pyramid site via barge when the Nile was high. So you have a distinct work cycle... High Nile - river transport/pyramid construction Low Nile - stonemasons/quarry work - fellahin/agriculture
there is NO proof that the pyramids were tombs , no burials have been recovered in them and there are no hieroglyphics found in then either
its not " whatever " spider , it is a very important thing to know the fact that there are NO burials nor hieroglyphs is significant in understanding the pyramids purpose
more importantly spider , other than the fact there were no hieroglyphics is there wasn't a cartouche ( an oval or oblong figure , as on ancient Egyptian monuments , enclosing a sovereign's name )
is it really spider ? or that you don't have the courage to explore our Ancient past , our past , our Human past ? and find the truth , I have , do you ?
by the way I have read about the poured theory by the French chemist before his theory was that the chemistry of the blocks that make up the pyramid was different from the quarry , its hard not to think that its compelling proof of how the pyramids were built
Do you? Apparently no one knows for sure what the original purpose of the Pyramids of Giza were, but a tomb is the most likely due to the many other pyramids which were used as tombs, not the least of which were the pyramids of the Great Pyramid builders.
well the theory is that the pyramids were already there and that the mastabas were an attempt at trying to copy the pyramids
In regards to ancient Egypt, this is difficult to say definitively because the Nile crested at different levels (level markers still exist). The ancient Egyptian calendar however (divided into three distinct seasons) suggests a period of 3-4 months... Akhet - The annual Nile inundation Peret - Planting and growing crops Shemu - Harvesting the crops
Well, if you find a dead ruler in it, then it is a tomb. Also they did find marks of the workers in them, I just saw it on Youtube, the BBC documentary. By the way from Wiki: "Nubian pyramids were constructed (roughly 220 of them) at three sites in Sudan to serve as tombs for the kings and queens of Napata and Meroë. There are 138 pyramids discovered in Egypt as of 2008. Most were built as tombs for the country's Pharaohs and their consorts during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods"
Dude, really, read the fucking last sentence. Giza pyramids too... No other use was suggested for the pyramids but tombs... But anyhow, this is kind of off topic...
