well maybe you haven't noticed but Saddam is not the first, last, or most recent dictator to treat his people inhumanly. if america were to intervene everytime someone mistreated their people there wouldn't be a soldier left standing on American soil. They'd all be engaged in some foregin conflict. People when are you going to realize this war is a OIL. Saddam's behavoir are secondary reasons for this war...exuses...to control oil.

    1) Why should I care if he gassed some Kurds 15 years ago?
I mean I care somewhat, but enough to invade & occupy the country, risking our troops in the process? THINK MAN, THINK.

    2) Stop watching FOX NEWS. Good lord man, do you not know how pathetically biased that network is?

Saddam gassed, killed, and tortured his own people!"

TAC: Seems so sad to be so young, naive, and misinformed young soldier boy.

The US provided Iraq ( under Reagan ) all the anthrax ( Virginia lab ) and chemical weapons ( much of it came from Israel! ) and satellite info on Iranian troop movements; the US sent hundred's of F-4's and thousands of TOW & MAVERIK missiles "illegally" to Iran ( by the corrupt prez Ronald Reagan, Ollie North, general Secord, et al ), many more scumbags were involved among many more liars and cheaters that paricipated.

Over 1,000,000 young and innocent Iraqi and Iranian conscripts died as the US and Israel sat there and smiled as two of Israel's arch enemies tore each other to pieces!

So what is your beef with Uncle Saddam, Jr?

TAC: Whooppee, so Saddam murdered 6,000 Kurds with US/Israel supplied chemicals and bombs. Seems tio me that in America if you put a loaded gun in the hands of a killer---you "too" have your day in court as a co-defendent, huh?

Epilog: The US massacred 3,000,000 civilians in Vietnam ( I'll skip the 16,000 gallons of toxins [agent orange] poured on the survivors-OK? ) and the 700,000 innocent civilians massacred in the "illegal" B-52 bombings of Laos and Cambodia.

Then Israel murdered 28,000 Lebanese and Palestinian civilians in the invasion of Lebanon, summer of 1982 ( I'll skip the pogroms at Sabra, Shatila and Qana, OK? ).

As for anything you hear on Rabbi Murdoch's FOX JEWS NETWORK, well, just forget about it being--FAIR & BALANCED, OK?

    FOOL!

    TheAZCowBoy,

PS: Hey soldier boy, why not go to Israel and shoot up a few IDF low lives that run American women over with US supplied D-5 caterpillar bull dozers and shoot 4 year old Palestinian children dead as they did this past weekend?

    JSB & TAC

What doesn't make sense to me is how we pick on him for the gassings. Donald Rumsfeld, for instance, was helping get Iraq off the "terrorist sponsor" list and working toward normalizing US-Iraqi relations to begin offering Hussein military assistance while Saddam was committing atrocities against the Kurds and Iranians.

It seems a little hypocritical to me to hold against the guy what we so implicitly endorsed for years.

Now, perhaps that doesn't bother you, but my parents' tax dollars went to assist Saddam Hussein, and if I'd been old enough to have an income, so would mine.

And while reality is its own, I find it considerably bothersome that whenever I am asked to sponsor death and atrocity around the globe, my government cannot ask honestly.

Do you remember how it used to look when a tyrant in the third world would stand in front of the throngs, shouting about the nobility of the nation while technically running it into the ground and committing atrocities? How the citizens of a dictatorship can come to believe it's the right and proper way of things?

How do you think it looks to the world to have George W. Bush using the White House as an Imperial Base while using lies to justify another abuse of people by American war hawks?

Seriously, we mock Saddam Hussein and other third-world tyrants for making more out of what's there than it's worth. What do you really think the world is going to do when Georgie lies to them daily? Just hop on the freaking bandwagon?

Americans are so self-righteous at this point that I really can't stand them. It matters not what the war is about. The people generally want a war and they're willing to accept any level of dishonesty from their executive in order to get it.

This war is about immature impatience on the part of the executive and the frothing masses that blindly support him and forgive his consistent history of dishonesty. It has nothing to do with security or justice, and everything to do with ego and money.

    A note to TAC

We did not just sit there. We paid for the war, in part.

We (US) are not perfect but, if not us (& the Brits & the Ausies &...) , who? If not now, when?

After 12v years of "peace" it is high time to give war a chance.

    Poor turn of phrase, Fudd

Did you really expect the resolutions at the end of Desert Storm to hold?

Oh, and what twelve years of peace?

It's a very poor turn of phrase and tactic, Fudd. Everybody knows that success at war is measured by a narrow objective--e.g. removal of Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq. In the history of the world, War has never brought Peace.

Remember that, coming out of WWII, one of the first things the UN did was start a conflict in what we now call Israel.

For most Europeans, I think it is more "anti-Bush" than "anti-Americanism". He is truely a disgrace to the flag he represents.

I'm rather sick of all the pro-americanism, which you HAVE TO admit has gotten ridiculously out of hand since they blew our buildings over. It is only recently voices against the president's administration are finally being heard. CNN is still under "regime" control but other channels are beginning to tell the truth.

On the original topic, yes Saddam did kill his own people. It was terrible and disgusting. But the americans turned their backs and did nothing. In fact, they facilitated it. Troops watched from the sidelines and didn't help the innocents being shot from the air.

You don't suppose the US government has ever experimented upon or belligerently killed its own citizens?

Its all a matter of style.

Why is this war necessay? To free the ZioNazi thugs from harm of course!

TAC: Actually, I think war sucks. But of-course, if you're a yellow belly draft dodger CHICKEN HAWK like Bush, Wolfkowitz, Perle and Ashcroft--war makes you "feel like a real man!"

Believe me, if you have lived like a slinky cowardly wimp all your life, as these Vietnam draft dodgers have--the euphoria surrounding the mere thought of "commanding troops into battle," is enough to help you put aside your viagra for once in your life!

AZcowboy, have you EVER made a post that didn't involve bush-bashing? EVER?!
I mean, I don't have a problem if you want to express your feelings on the current president every now and then but do you ever have anything else on your mind?
Do you care about any other aspect of life on planet earth?
What the hell did you used to do before bush was president? Were you hibernating in the depths of your basement waiting for the day when a comedy corner-stone president would come into power and thus provide you with a bottomless pit of conversation topics?
I seriously can't imagine dedicating that much of my thought process to such a trivial subject.
Different strokes for different folks I guess...

Lol... I've stopped reading cowboy's posts because they generally all say the same thing. Why don't you just post "Bush and Isreal and Jews bad" and save us some reading?
