As I said before, if she did not have her kid with her I think she would have been beaten up...and that would have tied many officers up for many hours, getting all the eyewitness accounts...

So I said within reason. Basically, I don't think she had a right to cause a disruption to public order.
I think she has a right to spout racist nonsense, just not on a crowded train at the top of her lungs. If she had gone to an anti-immigrant meeting and spouted, no I would not care for that at all, but I would say she has a right to say nasty things I vehemently disagree with. If she had gone to an open debate and spouted, I would say she had a right to.

In those places it would be...ehrm...about as appropriate as spouting racist BS ever gets. Not disruptive to order.

Since I looked into it in the process of organizing a protest march...it costs 100$ per intersection to have the police close them for you...at that point we decided we'd have our rather small march on the sidewalks...:rolleyes:

This thread demonstrates pretty rampant racism in Europe. We talked about this once before, in this thread.

Very generally, Europe is idolized by marginally educated college liberal wannabes for a variety of reasons, but if you go there you'll find striking similarities. The countryside is full of losers in tiny villages sitting around doing nothing. They're lazy, horribly inbred, and are on the government pension.

A big European stereotype of America is that Americans are all racists. Meanwhile, they have ghettos of palestinians, poles, saudis, pakis, and others living in slums of their "beautiful, historic capitals" and being treated like dogs by the white populace. But the joke's on them since the immigrants are overpopulating them. London is called "Londonistan" in local slang.
 
she was rude but she got made an example of because of public nuisance. in any case, it was her stupidity.

there is racism or prejudice like that and nasty worse but people don't get in trouble because they consider whether they are going to get in trouble and their surroundings at a particular time.
