Ah! That particular koan took me some small time to solve.....to the extent that I have. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Part of the challenge is to allow others to search for your meaning to a certain extent rather than trying to be pinacularly explicit in each and every statement you make. Being misunderstood to some extent helps to move a dialogue along.
Hey, that's quite true...people misunderstand you, take it in an unexpected direction...you discover new things.
The above sentence from your first post really stood out when I reread this thread, YunZhu. In my journeys, it would appear that most people seek for the same thing, another person with whom they can connect. This connection may be ideological, spiritual, physical or intellectual, and it is absolutely delightful when one meets another with whom they can connect on more than one of these levels. For this reason we have many different relationships simultaneously in our lives as it can be virtually impossible to be understood by one other person on all levels simultaneously. Persons are at different stages of development as they progress through life, and they continue to grow and evolve daily. Life is a state of constant change. By what you have shared, your recent health and personal challenges have somewhat isolated you, yet you have continued to grow on your separate path and recognize that you have unfulfilled needs in communicating and personal relationships. In my experience, in a much smaller population base, people connect through shared interests. Perhaps in those things that interest you most, you may find an avenue to begin on this journey. As you are able to read and retain information quite quickly, perhaps a quick read of a thesaurus may prove of some benefit in both speaking in alternate language yet retaining pragmatic competence. I am one who teaches others how to train horses to perform fairly advanced movement skills, yet every horse and every rider must learn the vocabulary from the ground up. In equitation, we refer to this work as foundation training.
I have had two surguries on my sinuses...better, but still a constant management problem...I keep thinking it's better, then I treat the swelling and get more green crud out. At this point I should throw the infection it's tenth birthday party. I think fibro involves swelling, right? (I'm going to try to regurgitate some vaguely-remembered reading here...) Swelling in the body involves release of eosinophils. These get into the brain and cause the breakdown of serotonin. This causes depressive symptoms. Too, apparently(and I had not heard this) cytokines cause the brain to stop making serotonin so much: http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog...epression-inflammation-immunity-and-infection My depression was under control before the sinus disease came along. Now not so much.
Oh my, please don’t be discouraged. The article suggests that vagus nerve stimulation can motivate microglia in counteracting inhibited serotonin production. Deep breathing vagal manoeuvres, to increase carbon dioxide concentrations by pranayama exercises, helped me quite a bit through the first few months into recovery. I hope you do not take this personally, but I find that depression and its bi-directional disorders will cycle perpetually unless interrupted or dislocated. I do not have any medical background; credentials are at best personal experience. Efficacy of psychopharmaceuticals is not sustainable in the long run, there may be stimulation but it is mostly a hospice of palliation. For me, this came first by means of finding spiritual resourcing and self-servicing. Then, I reckoned to live a life means that my body also has to live; a shift in mental consciousness imposes a change in physical consciousness. I redesigned my body’s vernacular through the grammar of proper diet, exercise, and sleep. Lastly, there must be harmony in an ‘aboriginal word view’; to situated our roles as homo sapiens in emergent property with kinship and the environ. This is where I am. I’m going to be honest; the process is gargantuan. Even though, liberty and health are not unimaginable along patience. Don’t give up optimism Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I wish you all the best. Wonderful! Yes, ‘we are free on earth because of cloudiness, because of error, because of marvellous limitation…’ Akin to the Ouroboro, asymmetry manifests perfection, which then must once more be re-created. You are right; a certain conversation is not really a conversation. A little koan can help move my dialogue around. This is beautifully stated. Your benevolent wisdom is generous and constructive. Though, I sometimes find foundationalism to work outside in. In my relationships, differences are presented before we single out a solution. Likewise with this quote; ‘How to ride a horse: step one-mount the horse, step two- stay mounted’. I hope to major in Physics. My endeavors are actual counter corresponding; politics and business aid my social skills Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Thanks Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Yea, it'll be a shame if intelligence came with a handicap eh?
You're welcome, glad I can be of some help Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! You know what's a great way to make friends at a new school? Join a club or a team, it really helps! It worked wonders for me in my Grade 9 year, I didn't know anyone outside the Gifted Program except for a few kids I play hockey with, I met a lot of my friends playing football. If you open up you might find a different world. For me intelligence is a tool that I can use to enrich my life and fulfill my dreams. Personally I find retreat in competition. It might sound kinda weird but for me, competing is more relaxing then stressful, and it keeps me stimulated. Its why I enjoy football, hockey, rugby and tennis Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Its not just physical competition, I play chess a lot, it might seem kinda weird at other schools that a captain of the football team is in the chess club and REACH club eh?
