    America doesn't have an Empire.
They go around the world helping people and getting freedom for them.

A direct fall of the USA will be a disaster for the whole world, so no, at least not right now, and not in one strike.
There's always who fall and who rise.

Those who consider the United States to be an evil empire: I am curious who you believe would be a better replacement as a world power......China, perhaps, who likes to run over their own people with tanks. If they begin to build an empire by extending their military force to other nations, I can only imagine what they would do to people who are not their citizens. And the Chinese people would never know about the atrocities since their state press would cover it up. If they had the military might, really nothing would stop them from leveling another country if it was to their benefit.

The thread is asking if its readers wish to see the end of the United State's dominance as the only world power. If it is not the United States, the only realistic replacement is China. Who else could fit that bill? India? Brazil? A fall of the U.S. would create a vacuum that is always filled by another nation.

So my point was if you want to see the fall of the United States, you will get to see China instead.

There's no rule that states the world has to have one dominant power. A multi-polar world is just as likely.

Well If I can persuade you the Norther Pole is working his ass off. You seen all those Mother Goddesses pole dancing . That ritual is for a reason you know .
May pole celebrations too. That whole Meme set is big stuff when it comes to the working class , unionizing and general free will of the people . You understand the significance of May Day celebrations and how they pass down through time by Memes . The rise up is what I call it . It is happening now and there was a trigger that caused it . Some of us . Very few know what the trigger was . Lets just say Nevada's Ceremony is not an unknown event . Stuff like that lays dormant and looks for the day to gain foot hold. Burning Man is Meme and the battle call of the "Just One" is imminent in the call . The call don't happen by it self . There are triggers and there are many more triggers pulled from that one trigger.

I confess to opening the gate . I take responsibility for opening the gate . I did a ceremony and few know what I did . A black foot man from Browning Montana made Me do it and I found that he was right to make me do it . I know most of you don't believe rituals have an effect and is all hocus pocus . That is good keep believing that. The rest of you that know and have seen my word come true know victory is already with us . We will succeed.

Note : the may pole dance is called < Tanz inden Mai

All you in the know and I know some of you know I got to tell you something very important . We dropped the white stone . It is floating around New york just out side of new York City . It was meant for a girl in New York City but the Haitian man part of the ceremony dropped it there . It is being kick around and drove over and God knows what else . It might have become black stained by now . Who knows for sure? It is floating around unknown . The Girl was worthy to receive the stone and it was my white greediness back then that caused the dropping of the stone . Shit it did not dawn on Me at the time . I just wanted the white stone. I got the wood golden chalice instead . It didn't make any sense to me at first . I thought , Shit I wanted that white stone . That was my American greed . Now I understand why I got the Chalice and why the Haitian man dropped the rock in New York . What a fool I can be sometimes . Greedy Hoarding American looking for something everlasting is why . I look for things that last . America is set up in the modern sense to be planed Obsolescent. That means " To make you buy more after you are addicted to a product. The product is made to brake down and instead of replacing a part you are forced into buying a new one . Capitalistic flaw in doing business . It forces hoarding. To get the new one you so much need because of the addiction

    Amen, brother.

Count me in for the end of American hegemony, but not for a goodly proportion of the successors.

I am hoping we have at last entered an era(or started) where is it truly too expensive to rule, to oppress and the last slave is freed because his master is too weak to lift the chains and pull.

What I worry about, is can humanity handle such liberation...can the majority handle being their own master?

When you set the bar "dictatorship" high, I guess the US is OK.

    G_d Bless you GeoffP.

Your command of the Queens English leaves me somewhat discombobulated, but are you saying you would not like to see the likes of China or Russia or Fiji supplanting the US as the global hegemon?

not necessarily, maybe temporarily. this is backwards loop type of thinking. what has been doesn't always have to be the future. if you will notice, it's balance of power that is what seems to be the future as each nation rises and becomes more economically viable and able to compete so there is less imbalance of power, thus less exploitation of poorer countries/peoples.

Don't count out Russia as the new empire. They have one thing some of the others don't have:

Self sufficiency in energy supply. They can also choke of Europe (natural gas) if they want to...
