People have another child to maybe get a viable donor for an ill elder child. I think cloning a body part would be more ethical

 

There is development in that area already, however it's more along the lines of printing replacement parts. So you wouldn't need a full clone as a replacement donor, just a sample of your DNA for making the printed batch.

 

How are they raised? Whatever they become it will certainly not be just like me.

I am being asked if I would like my own clone. I think it was implicit in the question that this would be like asking me if I would like a copy of myself. I was pointing out that they would not be a copy of me, since their experiences would be very different from mine. Of course we would have a lot in common, but also differences. Hence I said....

when asked why we would not be the same.
