You know i've been putting off electronic reading devices for some time too, but the other day I was looking through some of my old things and realize I have quite a few paperback books that I will never read again but don't want to throw away. Perhaps textbooks and some classics are appropriate in hardback format but as i grow and change so do my interests and I don't think it's necessary to have all these paperbacks lying around. While I transition and wait for battery life to get better on electronic reading devices I've found myself using the library much more often.
I've been anti e-reader for a long time. And then my in-laws bought us a Kindle last Christmas, and I see the value of the device. When we travel, we take several books with us and it takes up no space. And when I think about moving from house to house, and the dozens and dozens of boxes of books we have to lug around, my back almost seizes up in anticipation. It's difficult for me to distinguish between two loves: I love books and I love reading. They're not the same thing. But the first love gets in the way of my accepting new ways to enjoy the second love. I'm gradually learning to distinguish between the two, and to see that anything that contributes to reading is a good thing. Just my thoughts.
Congrats on the success. Especially in writing, as it's an honorable feat. Given the success, I advise opening your blog promptly and eventually monetizing it through Amazon affiliates program, as well create a Facebook fan page that links to it. Twitter too, if you're into that sort of thing. You can quickly increase your publicity and earnings this way. You have the reputation and fan base to pull it off, judging by reviews and popularity.
