Gravity field can be considered as a force-field . It is a neutral field , which is around every mass .This field is responsible for generating force between two masses. This idea of force-field came to me through this discussion only . So, the quanta can be decided later . This force-field interacts with other foce-field of another mass , to generate force between two mass. The way magnetic-fields of two magnets interact to generate magnetic force ; similarly this force-field works to generate force. This force-field exists in real-time and in real-space .
The experimental datas show that ' timings of the clock slows down ' with the increase of ' force values ' at different locations .
The way strength of a gravity-field is calculated , similarly the strength of this force-field can be calculated .
Now , I find a page on " force-field " has come up in wikipedia . See the link : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force_field_(physics)
So, it is not time but this force-field which slows down a clock . Thus , it can be said that , time is independant and uniform .
So, if time is uniform ; this can be said that : "space" , "time" and "space-time" are three different things .
You, of course, can believe whatever you want. Information has been supplied to you along with links for you to study on your own. If you prefer to make up something to believe, and it makes you happy then - have at it.Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
You still haven't said what this 'force field' does. You say it 'generates force between two mass'. What does this 'force' do? What is the 'force'? How does this force interact? Does it repel, does it attract, does it dance a gavotte?
So is this not considered to be 360 earth years? What do this look like to the outsider? On a tangent, in the first few million years after the Big Bang, the gravitational pull was huge. Would this not have slowed down time a great deal? And if you take it back to the first few seconds when the universe is infinitely small and the gravity infinitely large, then time would be going infinitely slow, eg; time stopped. How are we able to accurately age the universe in this case?
Nice questions . Further, I would like to add ; Is the duration of 'one hour' increasing or decreasing or remaining same ? What was the duration of one hour thousand years ago ? What will be the duration of 'one hour' after thousand years ?
Of course. It would depend on the inertial frame and the gravitational acceleration of the 'outsider'. The age of the universe is based on the recession velocities of different objects at different distances in the observable universe and time based on our local reference frame.
All good questions, they make you think... The answer is really quite simple. It all depends on who made your watch and how good the battery is. But seriously, if as some quantum gravity models suggest gravity is emergent, there was probably no gravity at the instant of the big bang and it would likely have been weak by our curent standards early in the universe. So keeping that in mind it may be that time is just constantly slowing down, as gravity emerges. Someone needs to wind the clock or it may just stop! (another attempt at humor)
Your view-point is that , space-time is slowing down the atomic clock . My view-point is that , force-field is slowing down the atomic clock . Space-time and force-field have much similarity that both generates force . Only very little difference is there between these two . So, perhaps both the views are right .
Universe is spontaneous . There is no contradictions with the events occuring in the universe . So, there is no contradictions in the practicals . Theories are made from the practicals and not vice-versa . Science is nothing but the theories . If there is no contradictions in the practicals , there should not be any contradictions in science . So , science is not something to believe . Science is not faith . Science is about knowing the truth . Till the time the truth is known , science can not stop ; science has to search .
'Force-field' is not a new concept . Wikipedia already explained this concept in the site : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force_field_(physics) Yes, it generates force between two masses . It does the job of a 'force' ; either attractive-force or repulsive-force . 'Force' is as defined by Newton ; which changes or 'tend to change' inertia . This 'force' fowllows the field-theory . It may repel, it may attract . If quantum-dynamics can be considered as cosmic-dance ; certainly this 'force-field' can cause quantum-dance .
Time is perpetual motion. In a Universe that expands, in an accelerating manner, time is the cause of all physics. Cause before effect of all things. And the cause of all things is overlap. That is the first thing that happens, followed by a whole chain of events. It's up to you if you want to say that overlap is time, or all of the events following that overlap. The events following overlap are entropy, bump, energy, move apart. This is like an animation. It is a loop. The particles that move apart have nowhere to go but to overlap some more particles, so as you can gather, it is a closed loop. Only the very outside particles have anywhere to go, and this is expansion.
