Weak in what way? Have you had your eyes tested by an optomatrist? What did he/she suggest?

My Mother eats a lot of carrots and other vegetables.

She also does eye exercises every day.

At age 75 her eyes are improving and for several years now she has not needed her glasses to drive and only uses glasses to read fine print. Her physician is amazed.

She also avoids sitting in front of the computer or TV screen for hours at a time.

Her father learned these skills and passed them forward. Here is a link with a short video at the bottom. Anyone can do these exercises and there is nothing one needs to buy.

The reason that more people are not aware of these techniques may be that there is a very lucrative business associated with eye care.

Additionally, it takes a bit of time and discipline to actually do them and to eat healthier foods, time which many people will not invest in themselves.

It may be advisable to see a good eye doctor to determine the baseline of one's eye health and to understand any underlying conditions that one may not be aware of that might be contributing as well to one's eye problems.

All the best in your quest for eye wellness.

Shit I knew I should of ate my carrots , You never see a rabbit with glasses ya know . If you keep doing that you will go blind ya know , So I asked if I could do it just until I need glasses .

Anyway there are some surgeries available these days and I heard of some laser surgery with astounding results for some of the eye problems in the world . I even have met some people that got the surgery and they swear by it , but it depends on the eye issues you having

Sounds like she's farsighted. Most people get nearsighted as they age. If you start out farsighted that will cancel it out slightly

Additionally, when you go out for your daily walk or run, make sure to look around a lot. You should be keeping your eyes on the horizon for posture anyways, but look left, right, up and down every 20 - 30 seconds or so to get a good look at all of your surroundings, then glance down at your feet to make sure they are both pointed forward correctly and a glance over your shoulder to see if anyone is coming up behind you. This will not only increase your awareness of your surroundings and posture, it will improve the muscles that move your eyes around and increase the rapidity of your sight comprehension as well as keeping your neck loose and limber.

go to the optometrist as suggested above and tell them you want to know what "diopter" lenses you need.
look for that size at various places.
you could of course get your glasses at the optometrist if you want to be ripped off.
i got mine at the local dollar store, 3 pair for 6 bucks, as opposed to the 300 to 400 at the optometrist.

seems strange that the concept of glasses escaped you.
please don't rely on "herbal remedies" for your health needs.

Obviously the first thing you should do is see an eye doctor (optometrist). You may simply need glasses. However, you might also have a physical problem such as a cataract or macular degeneration. Regardless, you need an eye exam not some random advise from an Internet forum.
that doesn't work for everyone. It only works for simple presbyopia and a low amount of hyperopia. If you are myopic (near sighted) or have a significant astigmatism, over the counter glasses won't help you.

    Good advice.

I've had ever increasing nearsightedness most likely from trying to see close objects like book print too much. I long suspected problems with classical optometry and a Website I found explains almost everything right. About the only thing that I disagree with it about is the usefulness of corrective surgery. I had radial keratotomy done 25 years ago and I am very glad that I did.

beware of laser pointers, even reflected laser light can damage your eyes.
the damage from laser light is cumulative, meaning less and less affects you more and more.
the blink response of the eyelid is not fast enough to protect you.
use special lenses when dealing with lasers of any type.

Yes, and try to avoid idiots that set up their laser levels at construction sites and then just leave them on while they jaw about tv shows or whatever while that laser just sits and spins its light 360 degrees. Also don't watch the checkout persons laser scanner too close at the grocery store (or any store). "Familiarity breeds contempt" and we have become very familiar with lasers now.

Lots of eye type foods out there, perhaps vitamins.

Prayer seems to have worked many medical miracles if even based on placebo effect. I'd like to think it is more but asking in prayer might help.

Walk barefoot in a dog park, that will get you seeing better in no time. (Watch out).

    lets ask MadAnthonyWayn.

I have the opposite opinion. Mainly from my history:
Prior to age 10 did not use glasses, but by late 20s needed -4 diopters or more. I think this was due to reading too many books etc and no sports* - I swam and kept in reasonable shape but nothing that really needed dynamic distance vision. Then at age 50 my eyes could see distance better so now have only -2 diopters

My left eye was always slightly worse than the right, but as I knew one does an automatic size adjustment to correct for the size distortion glasses make, I never used different diopters of the two eyes. (Did not want my brain making two different corrections.)

It is important to see good ophthalmologist as they can tell a lot about retinal health and (even health in general) but I wrote my own prescriptions, most of the time.

    --------------
*At least two ophthalmologists have told me that is nonsense, but I still believe it. I think they just are taught that with little scientific support – A common but false POV often happens in medical professions and then after a decade or two they will all take the opposite POV. Butter is “bad and then good for you” has completed three cycles in my life time!

That's a fairly typical history. Most people get their first glasses prescription between the ages of 8 and 10. If they are near sighted, they tend to get worse every year up to the age of around 18 to 21.

Then, between the ages of 40 and 55 they lose the ability to focus their eyes (presbyopia, they need bifocals). Along with this, there is often a hyperopic shift (a decrease in myopia, or near sightedness).

Once presbyopia and the changes it brings are complete, cataracts begin to form which again causes the prescription to fluctuate. Usually this change causes a person to become more nearsighted. Ultimately, the cataracts become so bad that glasses can no longer provide adequate vision and cataract surgery is required.

After surgery, most people need glasses only for reading as the IOL's implanted during surgery can correct most refractive errors. If you've got the cash, you can even opt for a bifocal IOL which allows you to see distance and near without glasses after cataract surgery.

I forgot to mention this, but here too I was typical after a couple pair of bifocals, I tried tri-focals once but did not think they were worth the extra cost so went back to bi-focals, which I still wear.
My needed correction has been very stable for more than 15 years and my vision is very clear - Without glasses on, I can read the finest print on ingredient list, which is so small that they clearly do not intend for it to be read. With glasses on I can see individual branches on trees more than 2 Km away - I must be at the optical resolution limits of my iris diameter.

Thus I wounder is there a good chance I will escape the cataracts? Or is that inevitable, if you live long enough? Does diet make any difference in cataract development? I am 75 now.
