Or maybe none of it ever happend and it's all made up... That seems to be the more likely scenario... I mean, come on - how does one bear get 42 kids? Couldn't any of them run?

But seriously bible stories are generally hard to follow and often times make no literal sense, but some Christians will grasp at straws trying to interpret the passages... devotion really runs deep I guess. I don't believe in a supreme being, but I guess it's much more tolerable if someone does but does not take the word of any written text verbatim. You gotta realize it was written by humans, and if that kind of corruption isn't enough to convince you then just reading it OBJECTIVELY should open your eyes a bit.

and you have to take the historical context into account (what did it mean back then).

 

It's like any other fairy tale. Little red riding hood teaches children not to run into the woods alone or else a wolf will eat them. This particular fairy tale in the bible teaches young children not to be disrespectful to their religious leaders or else god will kill them.

I remember one guy (18yrs old) at bible college that believed that vaginas could clench and rip off a penis... if you believe that then believing bible stories is pretty easy in comparison.

 

Is it right to kill an adult (or an animal)? When you buy a burger (or some kind of meat) you are paying the wages of whoever has slaughtered that animal (you have paid them to kill it.)

lol chimpkin, he also said he wasn't going to have sex until 2 years into a marriage... and he also slept with a night light on because he was afraid of the dark (at 18years old!!!). I think he graduates from bible college this year and starts as a minister in a church.

But there wasn't only immature freaks at bible college. There were a couple of okay guys.

Others that were ex-drug addicts that I wouldn't trust if my life depended on it. Some that used to be alcoholics and bash their wives but had... seen the light.

Those are the next generation of church ministers... good luck to them.

Fairy tales are real . Me music Partner Mary writes them too . It is so strange cause she wrote about Me life and we just met what about February this year ? It is strange to say the least . I don't know maybe there like a cold call and lots of people think them selves a Blue Moon or the Milky Way. The one that gets Me the Most is "The Monkey" and there is a line that goes , I got a Monkey on My shoulder , but then it says " Pretty soon he was drinking from my Cup , A yeah Monkey be taking Mary"s musical skills. She likes it though cause we sound good together , She takes mine to so all is fair
