you know what phlog? just because your uptight bigoted ass calls them "tramp stamps" doesn't mean they are. you should be ashamed of yourself for saying that. it's really quite awful.

At one time tattoo businesses weren't allowed to operate in very many cities because of there unsterilized conditions that were sometimes found. They were once seen as unprofessional because they weren't schooled, licensed or other form of government tactic to keep them from doing harm to others for various other reasons. Many people were found to have medical problems with their tats because infections would happen many times due to irresponsible care and maintenance of them after they were put on people skin.

To someone without any tats, getting the first one is a risk. It may not be as life threatening as some of the situations you described. However it is life changing and it does leave a mark. Also, there is nothing boring about a first tat. Even if you can handle the pain, it can be a challenge to do so without complaining and making painful faces. Keep in mind I'm talking about the first tat. But you might choose a very sensitive place for a second one, then maybe a painful or visible pierce or possibly a small brand somewhere. Don't tell me you never asked any of those sparring partners of yours about their tats?

Did you come up with that yourself? Maybe that's what the woman wants to do is filter out a certain type of man, before they get bothered by a useless approach and turn down.

First I'd like to welcome you to this forum. Is that trouble I see brewing in your relationship? Let me predict, within 2 years you will probably have a tat and maybe a new boyfriend. Good luck with that.

All these users are calling it a fashion fad...and none have responded to the point I made.

Well done for reminding me that humans are still monkeys, however hairless and apparently intelligent...

“All these users”, I only noticed one person that mentioned anything about a fashion fad, and I thought you handled it quite well.

Well I never met a monkey with a tat, so maybe some humans are not monkeys.

That sure sounds inappropriate. You don't have any evidence to support that suggested claim do you?

OK, maybe I do care what other people think. I don't want them to think that my skin is like a bumper sticker or a wall full of gang signs. I don't want to intimidate anyone with the equivalent of war paint. I'm not a tribal warrior, I'm integral to a civil society.

You are making assumptions about what others might think and then adjusting your behavior and actions so that they won't think those thoughts. I find that an interesting way to live your life.

These are the historical connotations of tattoos. It's something different than artistic expression. In nature, patterns on an animal means it's probably venomous. In human society it means I don't give a fuck, my body is for decoration like a lamp or carpet.

Sorry I don't believe that. People get tats for a lot of different reasons, but I'm positive “I don't give a fuck” isn't one of them.
