Actually I did some last-minute googling on that picture, and it turns out they were just being ironic...

Incidentally Alan Turing didn't invent the computer. After all Charles Babbage had created "computation engines" a long time before, which in turn companies like IBM originally dealt in variants of computation engine (not necessarily Babbage's).

There is also a large missing piece on the backlog of the cold war in regards to how Espionage was done during that time and how if a particular scientist or thinker couldn't be convinced to defect, they would likely find themselves manipulated into public ridicule so as to deny that country their mind.

"Homosexual entrapment" was one such method, since the laws at the time had homosexuals as being both illegal and suffering from a psychological or physical problem. Entrapping people with this undermined them just as much as if a person now a days spent time in a Mental Hospital.

first of all turing was noted for developing a method of solving problems.

second, the modern computer is based on the von neuman architecture not turings.

 

But what if it was considered evil, would that disturb you? I mean, gays have no inter-generational affect as they cannot reproduce except by the 'traditional' method.

Irony aside, technology is largely an attempt to replace or circumvent the natural world (reproduction), in that sense it is inherently 'gay'.
