A thread over in science and society has been taken over by a menagerie of spammers starting here with flamethrower on page two. It was an interesting discussion until they arrived to start hurling abuse. It seems to be some war over at another board which has spilled over here. Some stupid little ezboard. They have no respect for the neutrality of this board or our lack of interest in their complaints. I want to reply to a post by Jaxom but the normal flow of conversation is now impossible. I'd like to continue on with the thread. Is there any way to remove the mess and fix it up after this spamstorm has gutted the place of meaningful discourse? A person who adds a bit of spice to get a reaction is not self indulgent but wants to add to the discussion. Intellectual??? Moi??? (Looks behind shoulder) Only when I get stoned. Go over and have a look. I wasn't trying to incite a discussion on free speech. They aren't those kind of Troll's. The topic of the thread hasn't meandered at a tangent. It's been hijacked. I'm being accused of having hacked an email account, then an ezboard, deleted it, been banned for it and then (somehow) returned to graffiti the message lists. Like I haven't got better things to do. It's all nonsense except that I have been globally banned by ezboard and the reason given is hacking. Found out a few days ago and I've already sent requests for an explanation. I don't know what Ip addresses or kiddie scripts mean. I've never hacked anything in my life and I type with one finger. Until a couple of years ago I didn't even know how to use a home computer. It's ridiculous. Besides, what has any of it to do with "nuclear proliferation"? The last two pages are nothing but insults from a bunch of trolls now. They could have atleast shown enough respect for the board to have started a new thread on this complaint.
Sounds like a schoolkid telling the teacher Hey Wayne, A piece of advice. Nobody likes a snivelling whiner. And even lower on the list are whining, agressive, lying, narcissistic, amateur hack artists.
You will find the thread has been edited rather heavily to remove the flaming. Rather than go through each post and selectively delete them they have just been removed.

I hope they don't come back and mess the thread up again. I hate being a squealer but those guys were asked enough times and had several days to respond. I will not take sides in this squabble. Rather, I will remove what is off topic for the thread. It has been going on far too long in to many places. This is one site that it does not belong at.
I would never ask that of the admin or mods. I agree that this board should be kept neutral. Outside conflicts remaining outside. Grudges left at the door. It is the height of bad manners to trudge through another board without first shaking the mud off your boots. Fair moderation is all a member should ever hope to expect from a forum. Even that isn't a right or a priviledge. You were under no obligation to clean up the thread as the forum belongs to you and can be run as you see fit. Still, it's nice to know some boards are still fairly moderated. Others I've stumbled across have hopelessly biased staff.
