Actually not entirely correct. The battle of Macragge puts lie to the Tyranids always keep coming. Of course Macragge was an exceptional battle and the Space marines managed to pull off some serious major victories, including destroying the fleet using the Dominus Astra. Once the local Norn Queens were killed off, the Tyranids were just slightly easier to remove than Orks.

The only hope Star Trek would have is biologic weapons, fast acting biologic weapons.

Star Wars would at least stand a chance with the use of Death Stars, Galaxy Guns, Eclipse class Star Destroeyrs, and of course the Sun crusher.

you forget a few other superweapons.

Centerpoint Station. suppose they attack while it hasn't been destroyed of course...safe,from a far distance, it could just use its Hyperspace tractor beam to destroy the suns of nid-infested planets.100% casualties.

now star trek could use genesis devices. IF they would build more of them of course. and if the federation would be wiling to annihilate all biomass on the planet, which i doubt! but they would be given no choice really.100% casualties.

and of course, in star wars they have the force. especially the dark side. some sith during the sith wars were capable of enhancing their power through sith magic and make stars go supernova.100% casualties.

yeah, i know all of that requires the annihilation of life on the planets, but if nids are that bad, it better to have a few billion death than trillions upon trillions.

by the way, that superweapons like that would be useless in other situations. to quote Han Solo:
    accurate, ain't it?

Centerpoint Station, the best super weapon created in Star Wars.

Star Forge is also very formidable.

Galaxy Gun is like a cross-galaxy sniper rifle that destroys planets.

Unfortunately, all of those went BOOM

Respectfully disagree, Star Trek could always reprogram transporters to use as a weapon system. (The failure of SW fans to consider this turn of events.) The transporters could be used to lock on to 'Nid life signs, and simply scatter the material or even transport living nids inside of other living nids, get 2 for 1 that way.

Sheer number of nids would overwhelm most Sci-Fi universe though, I mean really, 40K is built for non-stop war, no other sci-fi is. So cannon and fluff etc all point to a 40K victory no matter which race you put against the other universe.

    Umm.....

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and maybe Macross can probably beat 40k.....

Not familiar enough with Tengen Toppa... But I think Macross would be trounced in a very short order. Cool tech? Sure, but overall effectivenss against any form of 40K fleet, they could do tons of damage to nids and green skins, but the more advanced races, not much, and the nids will just keep coming.

Do you know what the Macross cannon did to the Zentradi fleet? Do you know what happened in Macross Frontier with the Dimension Eater? Do you know what happened when the N.U.N.S. spammed reactive warheads? Do you know what is the Macross Missile Massacre?

    also Protoculture.....they kick ass

Tegen Toppa Gurren Lagann have mechs the size of galaxies, mutiple galaxies and iirc a universe.....it is ridiculous......

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes... and my response, Void Shields (which the Zentradi do not have) and other area effect technologies, i.e. Missiles can't even reach Necron ships. Mechs == Cool != Practical or Effective.

Lol, until the dimension eater and the reactive warheads, literally makes their ships vanish. Macross cannon, it is crazy.....iirc it breaks strong nuclear bonds.

war heads mean nothing if they can't get close enough to detonate....

Blackstone Fortress ~/= Macross cannon iirc in strength (Wow how many years has it been since Eye of Terror?)

minor inconvenient...the Galaxy Gun and most other super weapons were build in record time, just like the Death Star. if they were to build them again, i don't say they would, it pretty much be the same.

yeah, the Centerpoint Station is awesome! the original builders actually constructed the Corellian System, so its much more than a super weapon.

the Star Forge was able to supply a faction with ships only limited to the amount of time it had. definitely one of the best!

Galaxy Gun is a way improved weapon, much more useful than a Death Star.one of my favorites star wars tech.

i forgot to mention the World Devastator though. also a favorite.

but thats irrelevent, the argument is for what they had at the time. Not for what they could have or what they will in the future have because that is idle speculation.

If there is one thing I can credit wars with is its the only major scify without a back/forward in time episode.

well i was talking about the weapons themselves, not about their availability! but yeah, that's true.

i'm not sure i understand. back/forward in time?

You don't understand, their radius is huge and literally makes anything and everything in the radius vanish into nothing.....and never seen again. Those warheads won't need to detonate on target, plus they can be spammed.

Imagine having rows upon rows of galaxy guns lined up......with a field of centerpoints and star forges.....

Time travel is what he meant.

right. yeah, that's a good thing and a reason i prefer SW over other scyfy. i find time travel as the ultimate downfall of any series (except for PRIMEVAL

) that makes stuff really stupid. really, time travel is a very poor plot, and i think it only gets a plot because the writers are out of ideas!
