I've been seeing commercials for H&R Block offering free tax preparation for returns using the 1040EZ form. (which I qualify to use) I was a little skeptical, and looked at the fine print....it seemed on the level. I wondered how they could offer this. Once I got there, I found out the catch. There's a $400 stimulus check this year from the gov't. In order to take advantage of the stimulus money, you can't us the 1040EZ. So pretty much, no one will want to use their free 1040 EZ service. While I was glad to get the extra money...I wasn't too happy about their "free" offer. Guess there's no such thing as a free lunch.
Yep...them and their gaping anuses. The service was $40...and an addition $32 if you pay for it out of your refund rather than giving them cash. I had calculated my refund to be around $650 and it turned out to be $1400 after all the fees...so I was pleased...as I would have never known about the tax credits if I had done it myself.
400$ stimulus what earth do you live on they had one back in like 07 -08 this is the first time i have heard of it.. just did my taxes there got charged a total of 57$ 30 somethin for federal and 20somethin for state

yep...clowns and midgets. i think the midget aversion is rooted in trumped up portrayal on television and movies. it makes me feel guilty. perhaps i need to befriend a midget in an attempt to recondition myself. but clowns...clowns just aren't funny. plus, working for the circus as they often do, they are perpetuating animal cruelty and abuse. and then there's midget clowns...oh man. :bawl:
