The assumption of Abrahamic religions is that the Earth was made for mankind. But the Ocean is far too big and too deep. It's not as if there is a lot of life in the very deep ocean so that people could eat them. There should be more shoreline, and more continental shelf. I mean 2/3 of the planet? Is that really necessary?

    Genesis
26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

But, you remember that time I took that very strange drug, and you showed me just a taste of your nature? We were not meant to know the whirlwind. We are delicate stardust crystals that require time and space.

Is it 'necessary'? If God created humans through evolution, and that was part of the process for us to reach here.... then yes..

Now if God just created it out of the blue, is it still necessary? Are you going to tell me that you understand the impact their extinction has on the overall order of things? Perhaps it is 'necessary' in the model of creation that exists.

Thirdly God created things as signs for humanity as well.. It seems that God has given us countless amount of things to discover and to appreciate which you may not consider 'necessary'... God could just create water and 1 thing that we all ate instead of a bounty of things as they are not 'necessary' for survival sake. The question is just loaded with assumptions is what I'm trying to say.

This doesn't directly support the assumption. To be given 'dominion' over something doesn't mean it was created 'for you'. I hope you understand the difference between the two.

If I make someone the President of my organization, that doesn't mean I created the organization solely for that individual.

even (for the sake of argument) if we accept your analysis of the situation as valid, the OP is more like "Proof the bible has text critical issues" ... which is a darn sight shorter than the (atheistically) magnanimous "Proof there is no God"

I agree with this. Dominion just denotes a responsibility. We were supposed to take care of it.

    Oops.

Uniformitarians don't even believe the earth is as it was when it was first created, for what logic does this assumption become properly attached to God?

Without any evidence there is no need to postulate. Without any need there is no hope. Why question if there is a god? What does it matter if it plays no role in life? What is real? Altruism, love, kindness, peace, joy, bravery, wisdom, patience, anger, even faith and hope..those are what is real. I want to know if we can be better than what we are today and all achieve it. Are we god?

The title was just for theatrics, I was careful to specify the Abrahamic God.

God supposedly shaped the world for human beings, but it looks like he shaped it for jellyfish. Maybe they are the species that will eventually meet his expectations, not us.

No. We can't be better. We are what we are.

Quitters never win. If you want something in life, then you chase it. You don't wait for the solution, because you cannot assume it will come, much less when it will come, much less there is another solution. It is this attitude that facilitates success. The power is there to be better, but we must first recognize it, then use it. The power is the choice you have in what you do and why you do it.

Can you build a better mouse trap? Maybe, but what point is there to build one if the first one is not broken?

In other words, why wonder if there is a God when you don't need God, except for an odd curiosity, but honestly it sounds like you need God.
