Some 3 or 4 months ago i bought a Nokia (5230 touchscreen) and with a average of once a month my cellphone starts heating up and then runs without power in 2-3 hours the heating up is very noticable in the sence you could warm your hands on it and you could feel the heat radiating in your pocket (from within a leather protective pouch) but far from painful. Could this be a ticking timebomb waiting to explode and/or cause damage to me or the phone or is it yust a harmless annoyance.

(it's still the original nokia batery)

The same thing happens with my droid, but usually only when I'm playing graphic intensive games on it, but it still worries me. Odd thing is that it doesn't happen to my wifes droid and we will be playing the same game or watching the same video, (I tested it)
