If you re-read the way you phrased it. You make it appear as if it's ok to be gay just don't let anyone know. IOW, if you dress like a straight guy then you're normal and nobody will know you gay.

My questions were for you to answer.

Are there not straight women who don't like to dress up ?
Are there not straight men who do ?

I'm in fact doing the opposite, I am trying to show you that they are a cross cut as much as straight men and women.

I know a gay man who for two years tracked down and studied some of the most dangerous snakes in the world. Pretty freaking manly thing to do.

I guess I just feel from your OP that you feel it's a choice to be gay.

What about straight people who hit on every member of the opposite sex under the sun? If you believe that promiscuity is wrong, then it's wrong for everyone. Not just for gay people.

So...at what age did you choose to be heterosexual and date members of the opposite sex rather than members of the same sex?

I agree. But do you also complain about their behavior? I don't care if people want to sleep around, but I'm generally not interested in hearing about peoples' sexual conquests (whether they're male or female, gay or straight, etc.).

I disagree. If a man is having sex with another man because that is all that is available (leaving rape out of it, my understanding is that most sex in prison is consensual) but fantasizing about a woman the whole time, he isn't gay. He's technically bisexual, he's committing a homosexual act - but the act doesn't make you gay, anymore than Superstring's girlfriends made him straight. I think some men in these sorts of situations use each other they way that shepherds are notorious for using their sheep. It's curious how there is a double standard about this. No one seems to doubt that a gay man will not be made straight by having sex with women, but the other way around?

I personally think the real dividing line is, can you fall in romantic love with a person of the same sex?

 

Well, to be certain, I have known several men who were self-identified as straight who "experimented" (and are, what appears to be, quite happily married and/or involved with females). So, anything's possible.
