As I said, 'provided the courtesy is reciprocal'. Do I detect a note of pique?

There is nothing wrong with speculation - but hypotheses don't become theories until they can be tested and verified. If you can't test your own ideas, you have to persuade someone else to take them seriously and do it for you.

    Cheers,

Ron (on my way to the neighbourhood cyclotron).

Isn't it kinda hard to get somebody to test a theory for you in a particle accelerator?

You don't have a theory you have an hypothesis, and even at that stage you could have a mathematical foundation for your hypothesis. You appear to have no mathematical foundation for your hypothesis and although that in itself does not mean you are neccesarily wrong, it means you have very little chance of verifying your ideas at all.

To feel insulted when people reject your ideas is a bit silly really. People who know it all already cannot learn. Many of my own ideas have been shown to be wrong, but even though that may have been a knock to my ego my over-riding want to learn is more than enough compensation.

    kind regards
    Paul aka §lîñk€¥™

Yes, of course. First you have to convince a few others (who may or may not agree with your views) that your idea is not completely hare-brained (that's called 'peer review'). Then you apply for funding, in competition with others (that's called 'banging your head against a brick wall').

    Cheers,

    Ron.

    that certain something

damnit you're all wrong. Newton's laws referred to an apple. He said nothing about cars and baseballs. What the hell?!
