what do you guys think is going on there? skeptics cant say " it doesn't exist" because there is proof it does.. so what do you guys think actually goes on there? what is so top secret that no one can come within 15 miles of it
It's an air force base for experimental types. Especially black programme aircraft - development, testing and training. Who says it doesn't exist (apart, of course, from the US government not publicly acknowledging its existence)? So you think the public should have access to every top-secret, black programme the air force is testing? How long would they stay secret? How long before any potential enemy got to know about whatever's being tested?
1 thats what i always thought just wanted opinions of others 2. if talked to a few idiots saying it didn't exists after they said it didn't i just walked away 3. at what point did i elude that we should be able to? there are other bases where top secret stuff goes on and u can walk right up to the fence where as area 51 has a "i believe" no fly zone above it. and within a 12-15mile radius around it. what is so top secret than others. i work at a facility where there is black programs "top secret" and you can walk up to the fence if you don't work here or the door if you do.

How can anyone with any interest claim it doesn't exist? Do the black programmes where you work actually come out and fly around? Or are they something that can be kept inside the building? How do you keep an aircraft secret if people can get within a couple of hundred yards of the runway while it's taking off or landing? The only way is to make sure no-one is around at all until it's too high to see...
i understand what your getting at. but in another thread i believe it was you who said there is no "aircraft" that travels in access of 8000mph or whatever that plane was believe it was called aurora. i just wonder what exactly it is they are working on

But, for example, the U-2, F-117, YF-12A, SR-71, Have Blue etc etc were all tested there. And, I think (can't be bothered to dig out my files) most of the current UAVs (and some yet to enter service) were also tested there.

Oh, that was more of a joke. It was a reference to a particularly dumb manager I had who wanted to me to work out how a competing company had devised their latest (super-duper world-beating) product and also find out how we could manufacture and sell something similar but cheaper. Turned out that the "product" didn't exist and he'd misread the publicity...
Doesn't matter what goes on there. The bottom line is that we need to have secret projects. We need to stay ahead of the competition. You wanting to know about specifics is not of importance. If you really need to know, then try and get in as an employee. But you won't be able to tell anyone anyway. That is how it works. This is an issue that comes up often when there are claims of ufo's. There may be military radar information etc that could shed more light on the issue, but we are not going to get it and we should not be able to get it. Thus, even if it was something known, one of ours, it still leaves the mystery which people create all kinds of stories about. So I am sure there are all sorts of interesting things going on, but we won't know until they are ready to show it. By then there is something potentially grander in the works.

He excelled at that. We once had redundancy threats and he asked me what I'd do if made jobless. I said I'd look for work in a "loony bin".
