On that note then I wonder whether they really care about their people at all. I mean if the blockade is as bad as they say, if the people and their children are in dire straits as they have it then why say no to essentials they are in absolute need of? I mean the Khmers absolutely hate the vietnamese and even blame them for taking their land but they take their aid. Even N.Korea that has all their citizens chant their hatred of the US has no bloody shame on taking food and medical supplies from the US (with its big american flag plastered all over the item!).

They're full of shit. If I had given money or goods to that situation I would feel insulted. After the deaths, after all that effort they refuse.

They don't want any of it indeed! Who the hell do they think they are anyway? I would rather give a group that will take what they can in the interest of the comfort of their children.

That's not what happened. That situation was an example of exactly how an IDF officer could do something that was obviously murder! She was brave to do what she did though I don't think she thought it would cost her her life. I mean you have to be brave to put yourself in front of an IDF troop to help save someone else's home from destruction. Her and the team she was with were all wearing bright orange clothing and using blow horns to speak directly to the guy in the bulldozer and the IDF knew they were in the area so I don't think they were surprised. He saw Corrie but went ahead and crush her before she had a chance to escape his path. There were two other deaths also after that, activists who while working very closely with Palestinians had lost their lives trying to get children out of the way of hostility. When you are in a hostile zone you take as much risks as the people who live there. I consider these kind of people of a much better ilk than those who sit and rant about the situation in the ME but do very little to actually understand or help the people directly on the ground. I don't mind the symbol of the Rachel Corrie what I do object to is the other vessels obvious use of tactics to attract Israeli violence under the guise of 'aid'. They won't even take the aid that was being offered because they can't have their cement and items that the israeli's do not permit. If they are so desperate the right thing to do is take the aid that does come in, especially with all the effort people used to get it to them. But this isn't about aid, it was a way to put Israel on the line, and they did. But now what? Israel may actually give them the opposite of what they want. Instead of crumbling under global outrage and alienation they may dig themselves in further to show their resolve, and to show that the world cannot brow beat them into easing the embargo. But in the end this embargo isn't working anyway, so they will have to re-strategize maybe use the suggestion you had which is something that could possibly bring everything to a head but its risky. I think they should start working with Fatah in such a way that they allow Fatah to have its area in peace because they have renounced violence. Make life good for them then maybe those in Gaza would resent it enough to rid themselves of Hamas.

Anyway Rachel Corries family is in Israel at the moment where they are pursuing civil charges for the death.

Israel should worry about them. They remind me more of an old NY or LA neighborhood gang more than an efficient political organization. Fascinating to watch crowds getting together to march against 'Executive Force', the name uses for its ex-military now police force, and then see people yelling that they are the reason for their hunger and not the occupation, that they want a secular government and freedom of speech. Its almost painful to watch.

I'm not sure the battledozer driver was IDF, but anyways its not obviously murder when the driver has the legitimate excuse that he could not see her, simple truth is you don't stand in front of a battledozer.

Considering one can easily walk faster then a battle dozer she had plenty of chance to escape, and consider the amount of armor on the thing its not likely the driver saw her, more so the noise of the thing would drone out any blowhorns.

She did stand in front of it but there is footage that shows she was definitely seen and acknowledged by him so I can't see her being crushed as anything but deliberate. These activists were not belligerent. He could have had another officer simply go and physically remove her from the scene.

Anyway...stop jibber jabbering of Corrie. She died unnecessarily when you look at the options they had, after all the group was quite small.

I don't see how anyone could claim this is a lie perpetuated by the IDF, here the video and photographic proof the activist were violent, there is no way of legitimately denying these facts.
