It appears that Israeli commanders killed more than 10 unarmed people whose crime was to try to deliver food and medicine to people in need of this aid. During the on board struggle two Israeli weapons were stolen and may have been fired at Israelis but the people trying to deliver the aid were totally unarmed prior to Israeli arms coming on board. Read here:

Bloomberg has story in part because the Israeli stock market is taking a big hit. Probably this time Israel has gone too far and a boycott will punish them. I will do my part - I.e. my Teva stock is for sale.

I also call on the US government to IMMEDIATELY terminate ALL aid to Israel - that includes the supply of rockets fired from Israeli helicopters into Gaza buildings etc. I will not vote for any congress person who does not join in this call.

    Billy T:

I doubt it. If Gaza 2009 did not make a difference, why would this?

The boycott is still limited to a few people of conscience:

Clearest account of the incident yet:

    Horrifying.

Although there seems to be a bit of confusion: Sam's new link says "two dead". Did the passengers attack or no? Are there any Israeli wounded, in fact?

I can't say I'd mind too much if Raed Salah had been shot: he's a fascist extremist. But certainly not the innocent passengers.

This is NOT a sudden decision made by bunch of people! It was anounced way before the ships started their voyage that there is no political intention and Israel was invited to search the ships. And the fact that this is all about the aid.

Now, if there's any expedition for aid, there has to be help, transportation and other supplies given by somebody. This time Turkiye did that. How do you think this could be done?

I am not defending any government, I am saying religious or not, any Turkish government would give the support because that's the will of people living in the country.

The only amazing thing is you pointing out my country and blame it for something that has been done for years in the same way.

    You're full of crap.

And what the hell does "There's no evidence of fire passing them" mean?

The Israelis are claiming the passengers fired upon them 2 hours before the commandos boarded the ships with machine guns and started shooting. Then the Israeli military spokeswoman Avital whatever, said the passengers grabbed the Israelis machine guns and fired on the Israelis. In a "pre-plan" act.

Deception of course. The flotilla was unarmed. They didn't even have an armed escort.

They were still in International waters Geoff. When armed people storm your ship in international waters, what does that amount to? Are you saying that the people on that boat should not have tried to defend themselves against armed men who stormed their boat shooting in the dead of night?

Yeah. Having watched the videos and listened to the calls coming through as it was happening, they weren't fired upon when they decided to open fire.

Israel forgets that there were media on board filming and talking on satellite phones as it was happening.

Actually they have jammed all communications, I don't think they realised that there was a media crew on board. This is the first time there has been a full media crew on a Gaza aid ship. Having those Australian journalists on board will be a major advantage. If they are safe

Whoever shot first is the one who should be blamed and punished accordingly.

Unbelievable. It seems the Israelis are kidnapping all the 700+ delegation from all six ships:

    Small arms.

Are you saying they did? I'm not sure what I'd think about that. If you rush men with SMGs, then there are bound to be casualties. Then again, they were in the right to bring in supplies. Then again, Raed Salah was on board, which immediately makes me think "set up".

The video evidence is incontrovertible. No small arms, no "resistance", no sharp metal objects. The Israelis probably shot each other. They do it often enough.

Do you ever actually read what you write? Or do you just write it with the philosophy of 'never look back, never regret'? How can a snippet of video account for a likely 3+ hour ordeal?

Why did you drop all your claims on International Law, Turkey always being against Israel, me fabricating things? I asked you clear questions and you didn't reply any of these properly.

    I repeat my claims:

    - Israel has been warning Turkey against this campaign since last month. They said they will hit the ship and Turkey knew it. But didn't do anything, neither to settle the issue with Israel nor warning the passengers.
    - Turkey provided the ship and changed its official flag in order to cover the technical responsibility, allowed children on board alongside more than 600 civilians.
    - Ruling party has been using Israel card since last year for domestic publicity. It doesn't give a shit about the security of these people.
    - Turkey shares the responsibility of what happened to these people.

Better than being a supporter of stupid and ignorant acts.
