a job litterly becomes just insane with demands, writes and fries people because of preexisting things, that the bosses knew about when hiring you... like I got wrote up tonight because I have tats on my neck... well my boss KNEW I had tats when she hired me.. and I've worked for the past 3 or 4 months with no problems at all... and all of a sudden, I am wrote up because of them... "because you always wear ur hair pulled back and have them showing." umm.. last time I looked, its spring.. and its HOT!!! It gets hot when ur hair is down, so you put it up(am I right ladies?)... if you are RUNNING or just standing int he heat, with your hair down, you can surcome to heat exhaustion... oo more money for this place to spend then it would have costed to just let me wear my hair up!! I ALSO got yelled at because fridays, are red shirt days, to support the troops... well, all the red shirts that are in our office, don't fit me... so I had to go buy my own... now the problem is, "your shirt doesn't say the company name. you need to look to find a new one." I looked.. there aint even a shirt left in the office!!!! I also heard about a guy getting fired(who works in the kitchen, not around anyone unless they go to the kitchen) because he would roll up his sleeves when he got hot and his tat would show... and a girl, who had her ears gauged for the last 5 years, got fired also... both people, the bosses knew about... I will also be wrote up soon because my sunglasses have pink on them, and I have gray running shoes.... is it just me, or does anyone else see a problem with any of this?
Yes, a major problem. That is just plain bullying and you should take it to a tribunal. Did your work contract or works handbook given to you when you started employment mention Tattoo's? or Red shirt days? if not then they have absolutely no right what so ever to discipline you. Your boss sounds like a prick!.
Well you didn't explain it very well honestly, it sounds like you just think write-ups are BS and I'd have to agree they serve no purpose and are completely imaginary. When I was working alone for 3 years I did all sorts of things I wanted and never got caught, it made absolutely no difference at all. Had someone written me up nothing would have changed, it would've been precisely the same situation which was NOTHING BIG. So really write-ups are lies and meaningless unless it was intentional error related to WORK. As for the bosses try seeing them for what they really are, whiners that want you to feel less important and independent because they fear you will see the truth, all that matters is your job not how you look. Christ I could go on forever, fuck you past employers!
You coud try goin-over-the-heads of these bosses (which woud likely cause you even mor greif in the long run)... or develope an atitude of not rockin-the-boat on these type of issues or get a diferent job.!!!
the handbook stated that we where not allowed to get new tats or piercings, and if we have them they must be tasteful.. I have 3 stars and a butterfly.. sooo tasteless right? The elderly that come in like them because they are not what you see all the time. they are nice. saposibly i've been getting complaints about them, and I just looked at her and when what the fuc!!! the shirt thing, it said nothing.. I found out after I started working and I was told that fridays everyone always wears red shirts... They wouldnt give me one, so I went out and bought one! no problems for the last 3 months, but all of a sudden, its a HUGE deal... and dark, how did I not explain to well? what are you not understanding? and the boss knows the more I get into trouble, the more I see all the bullshit flying around, and most the time, I am NOT afraid to talk to the property managers, and most the main ppl about the bs that is going on.. I can see all of the problems that need fixed, and no-one wants to fix them because it would cost them to much money.. yet are main boss, went out and bought some weird key holder things for all but 3 ppl in our department that where a woopin 12$ each.. for something everyone looks at and laugh at... the funny thing is, its the department boss(who has seen me work, and has seem my shrit, and tats) who told my boss to write me up... and alot of the workers I talked to lastnight agree that everything that I get blamed for it total bull.. but I am sapost to write a response and give it to my boss, her boss, and the HR person. and I know even if I make it the sweetest thing in the world, It would do nothing... nothing but cause me greaf... I think I might look for another job, deal with this crap, then just one friday, call and say, I'm not commin in.. sorry.. then swinging by and turning in all my shirts and my tags and say good bye!!
People can be stupid. What kind of job is it? I had the same kind of BS happen with every job I had until I finished college and started a career.
its a valet job at our crummy ass casino everyone doesnt like anyways.. lol! but its the only one in a decent drive, so ppl keep coming, then complaining how it NEVER pays out(tho I just think its stupid ppl who don't know when to stop pushing the button thats the problem).... and I am wanting to go back to college for my CNA... better job, better pay, better everything.... but I don't have a car to make it to schoolPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

hey, have you noticed that when you go to a places web sight, you don't see anything labeled jobs for the most part? they all say careers....then when ur starting, again it says congrats for starting ur new career with our business!! you are now our slave monkey and have no say so in anything. and we will treat you like shit!
