Evaluation:

*Time is useless if its a bad experience (no love, freedom, etc....endless prolonged torture) - so that's out
*Commitment is useless if its not paired with love or freedom (slavery?) - so that's out. Lack of time here is a good thing.
*Communication is useless without love, freedom (write your message to the world from a jail cell.....on death row a week from your execution date since you have no time)
*Freedom is useless without love, money, time, etc.... you are basically a bum.


That only leaves love or money.

If you take the money, you still don't have any freedom --- maybe you have a career that pays oodles of money, but you can't spend any of it. You are glued to your job with no escape, and nobody ever listens to you for some reason. You are constantly surrounded by the human equivalent of locusts (they just come and go.....no commitment). Luckily, all the stress and isolation is leading to a quick death.


I guess I'll take love. I may not live forever; everybody around me is a bunch of non-committal flakes; I have ALS or something similar (I'm not smart like Hawkings, so I can't even build a voice box to communicate); I damn sure don't have any money....but at least I'm loved.

Freedom, definitely. None of those options are worth anything without freedom.

By looking at the poll result, I guess I can't be blamed if I am so confused, sometimes a couple of things are equally important, but we just can't have them all ~_~

Actually yes, it is almost redundant with freedom.. but you can see it like either you can live long without freedom, or you live shortly with freedom.

Sense of wonder is extremely high on my list. I don't think i would trade it in for anything.

To those of you who choose freedom over love and all other things: could you really give up someone who you love, who really loves you, who ensures your well-being all the time even if it should sacrificing his/her happiness, but is a control freak who makes all the decision (major, minor, all) for you? He or she is really hot and lovely and extremely smart and funny and all that, 24 hours a day for you to make sure you are alright and solve all your problems, but controll all your passwords, expenses, career choices, what you can and cannot wear/eat/talk etc (you can't be yourself anymore)?

What do you actually mean by 'sense of wonder'?

 

It's difficult to explain..
To marvel at something extraordinary or grand that you just not quite understand. It simultaneously invokes a sense of humility and grandness.
Things that excite my sense of wonder are, for example:
- the grandness of the universe,
- the beauty and complexity of Life (yes, with a capital 'L'),
- my own existence,
- etc.
