Defense attorney Andrew Parnes said he plans to quickly seek a stay of execution and appeal Reese's ruling to the Utah Supreme Court. yeah 25 years...not quite long enough Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
The eye for an eye comment was more a commentary on the irony that he shot someone and chose death by being shot. Let me clarify this as well. When there is an execution and the prisoner gets to decide in which way he is to be executed, I say let the family of the one who was murdered decide. If they wish.
He's lucky, as firing squad is better than lethal injection or the electric chair. I am not sure how I'd rank it against the gas chamber. If you are going to have executions in the first place (a separate question), what's wrong with a firing squad?
I'd say we should suprise the inmate! One night go into his cage and kill him with something he doesn't know about, like a cobra or lion ! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Nonsense. The perp ends up blind, but he should be anyway. Justice is one of those things that it's okay to be harsh with; yes, an eye for an eye is harsh and primitive, perhaps, but it is also fair and to the point.
