I know that AV receiver can amplify the audio signal from CD/DVD players and send the output to speakers.
    How about the video signal?
Currently I connect the video output directly to TV's video input, bypassing the AV receiver.
Does AV receiver amplify Video signals and make it better to be displayed on a LCD TV?

An AV receiver allows you to switch between a variety of video sources, but it doesn't amplify or process the video signal, at least all the ones I've seen.
