I need a power supply to excite a couple of presure transducers requiring 10-28 VDC. The total current draw from the power supply will be less than 100mA. Now, I can get an AC adapter for about $10 or heavy benchtop unit for $250. At $200 a peice, I don't want to risk damaging the sensors but why can't I use just a wall AC adapter? Please, anyone with experience with powering transducers....

For 100mA, just stop by Radio Shack for the supply and add a small inductor and capacitor to smooth the voltage out a bit. It may not even require it, as some have their own built-in voltage regulators and can accept a range of voltages.
