He isn't the only one suing. There is a guy who lost 900 million in Melbourne. Another woman suing New Jersey casinos. Usually they lose.

I forgot which case it was, but the guy was eventually banned by the casino but he was able to bribe the employees and go back. In that case the casino should be liable...

In the absence of coercion it seems highly unlikely that the casino would be made liable. They could easily argue that their employee was not acting in his capacity as an employee but in his personal capacity and upon discovering the bribe they fired him blah blah. Liability is an extremely specific word. The casino would be liable for what? The man's decision to enter an establishment from which he is banned? His loss of money? What's the statutory punishment for that? It can't be analysed too simplistically. I highly doubt the man's going to be successful

Guh. Just ban gambling altogether. What a useless endeavour.

casinos can ban you for winning to much there should be a law agianst that too.. and what your missing here i think is that the casino provided alch and "drugs" which is where the problem lies

If he likes limos so much, he could have bought one. With $50,000 he could get one decent limo. Now, with $127 million, he could buy over 2000 limos

And if he rent, he could afford it with something like $500 per a couple of hours (I look that up in google). Gambling is just stupidest...

Everyone who addicted is started with small amount. When they win, they want to win more and more. When they lose, they want to try to take it back. Maybe when he lose his first 1 million, he said to himself, ok, just one last try, who knows I can get my 1 million back. Then he got the 1 million. Then he thought, perhaps he can get 10 million, so he will actually not get his money back but also get some more. But he lose the 10 million. So he has bigger problem. Now he is indebted, and there is no way he can get 10 million in short time other than by trying his luck. Then he tried, but he lost more. And more. And more. Then he end up at 127 million lost.

Lets put it like this, to a gambler they don't think "time to stop" when they lose some money. In fact they are constantly working out how to get back any loses with their next bet. I mean you can look at a roulette table for a quick view of how it works, bet 10,000 on black, if it comes in, your up 10,000, if it doesn't your down 10,000. If your down 10,000 then you bet on black again but this time with 20,000. Sure enough you keep doubling everytime you lose to try and win back your loss, and *if* you manage to start off with a win, then only using your winnings to keep playing. (You should never enter into a gambling house with more than you are prepared to lose).

US Roulette Vs. European Roulette is actually worse odds for a gambler as there is a "00" (Double Zero) added to the wheel. Incidentally Roulette Black vs Red is never 50-50 for the Zero's.

Gamblings a mugs game, unless of course you happen to be the house. (Perhaps rather than blowing 127mil he should of spent it on building his own Casino, so at least if he lost it wouldn't matter)

I know how it feels when I was addicted to chess (against computer). When I lose, I said to myself, "ok, let me win once, so that I can sleep well", but I kept losing. Then when I won, I couldn't stop, because my level of confidence was increasing. So, I set the scores back to zero, so that when I win the next time my statistic would read as "100% winning (never lose)", but then I lose. So I decided to uninstall the program and throw the CD into rubbish bin
