These guys planned to kill everyone in a suburban Brown's Chicken not too far from one of my homes. They had no motive other than to kill innocent people. Juan Luna, 33, was convicted of killing 7 people. There was DNA and confession evidence. He is eligible for the death penalty. He was 18 when he and high school friend James Degorski walked into the restaurant at closing time, shot and stabbed the victims who begged/pled for their lives. Luna had a history of torturing animals and threatening people.

So we should just put them in jail where they get free meals, housing, tv, internet, health care, dental care etc? They get all that for brutally killing people? Hmmm.

Yes, it's no picnic, even with the basic things provided to them so they don't go insane.

    What do you think?

What does your Christian conscience say?

They already are insane. Anyone who would butcher 7 people is definitely insane.

An eye for an eye. Fry em.

    Thank you

So the Old Testament instead of the words of Jesus Christ?

Thank you for the response. I was just checking to make sure I understood.

Yeah, I'm tired of being pc. Look where it got us. We should be like Iminajihad and fry criminals. There would be less crime, less victims, and better neighborhoods.
Jesus was not a hippie peacenik. He hated crime. Look at the money changers. And he cursed a fig tree causing it to wither just for not producing fruit. Imagine what he would do to a mass-murderer. He said murderers will NOT go to Heaven. That's the worst punishment possible.

Then there is little need for us to think vengeance is ours is there

There is a complete absence of proof for this statement.

What do you think the mass-murderer's punshisment should be?

YOu mean it was better in the old days? Which ones? And remember, the old days led to the new ones?

And PC? For some the death penalty is PC.
    For some it is not.

So you would sentence them to exactly what they denied their victims? Fuck that. Every breath they take is an insult to the innocents they slaughtered. Every meal they enjoy, every visit or a letter from a loved one, every moment of peace they know serves to increase the injustice.

    Retribution

In the broader discussion of capital punishment, those who oppose the death penalty often raise the point of revenge. And many who support the death penalty are offended by the proposition that they could be so crass. Yet for those who would insist that we who oppose the death penalty are wrong to raise the issue of retribution, I would point to the above-quoted statement, which is not, by its form and nature, unfamiliar to our experience.

I would invite you to make that case in a Religion subforum discussion that happens to involve that very proposition. As the argument there stands, yes, Hitler would go to Heaven.

Kill`em all. They are threat to a society if realised and a waist of money if incarcerated.
