I remember reading the short story as a kid and not in any way being moved, but this little animated short by Disney in 2006 is simply mind blowing in it poetic beauty.

As a Russian, to me I dont see death as sadness, its a departure to the other world. I mean its sad, but hey the girl was not able to adapt to the world so she was given a chance later. Her spirit is now in heaven.

sold them, in the middle of the night?

I never said it was sad, I said it was beautiful, I never saw it as cute.

A crucifixion seems like it would be a depressing event...but not in the context of Christianity.

    Same principle applies here...yes?

I guess the crucifixion was more of an Easter thing for us, not Christmas.
