They left for many reasons, yes some left not because of the fighting, many left because the arab states told them too and some left because Zionist actually kicked them out. Israel did not attack first, the declared and independent state adn the arabs attack, that was the order of events! The Palestinians if given equal rights as citizens in arab states would have solved the issue just as the jews kicked out who went to israel or most other USA stop complain nor only want some kind of monetary payment for property lost.
