Sure, animals are capable of empathy and compassion. Absolutely intra species with their own young - many mammals. Pets can certainly show compassion, I have experienced this most clearly with dogs. There are examples where animals from one species have helped the young of other species that were in distress.
I agree with this. What's interesting. Is that it seems that mammals clearly have this tendency. But what about Reptiles, birds and insects. Do you think or have you experienced the same in them. It may be that we just don't pick up their facial expressions or body lanquage like we do with say a dog. Could we say ant's have this capacity.
I don't know. Birds I would guess are capable of sympathy. Ducks come to mind. Reptiles, no idea. I am skeptical about insects.
They are more conscious than humans, since they lack thought they are living in less dimensions since they create less universes. but they still do create many multiverses since many factors not in there control like when a tree is blocked from sunlight by another tree they grown slower or may not grow at all. Or a bird chose to eat another seed that day. Then the tree that exists here may not exist in another. Overall I think Trees are the most conscious beings.
