    Same here, actually...I don't value highly developed empathy that much. If people have problems, let them tell me straight out.

    Exactly. I think a lot of human social behaviours are very illogical. People place so much emphasis on inferences and assumptions. Much simpler and less annoying for everyone if you just say what you mean, and don't expect people to "decode" you.

    When times are bad and I really feel down I hug trees. I actually come to them and hug them, it relaxes me.

    You do, the number of questions are different for both quizzes so you have to normalise the results.

    [and btw, your conclusion about the numbers sorta proves it.

    I tend to very materialistic and mechanistic. At least I think I am. I believe that everything in the world is made of material including our consciousness. Physics, chemistry and biology and neuroscience support this view that all there really is, is matter.

    I don't believe there is a God or any supernatural or mystical forces or entities which lack a scientific explanation or which cannot be explained by science.

    Actually there's energy too and scientifically speaking, energy is related to but not the same as matter.

    The idea of everything including energy and matter as being "material" is more of a psychological mechanism that you've built up in your mind rather than reality.

    Theory bonked.

    BTW: For me,

    Your Score 45 empathizing 36 systemizing

    Balanced

    Looks like I'm the only person in this thread who's empathizing quotient is stronger than my systemizing quotient. Screw the details.

    Mechanistic, mentalistic is same thing. Mentality is mechanism for survival, adaptation.

    Words for state of mentality always in lexicon of anatomy of "psyche". Brain is structure for conversion of energy to "state of mind", so a fortiori is mechanism = machine from cellular organization.
    I am 100% anthropological, maybe 1% of understanding and empathy more like synchrony of mental state.

    I don't think I can look at question asking about anthropo-mental state, no such thing but words instead.

    Ain't yet taken the time with EQSQ, but I DID take the RQ/PQ (romantic/pragmatic) test because it was pretty short.

    RQ=12
    PQ=13
    Balanced

    Just finished the EQSQ.
    EQ = 22
    SQ = 56
    Extreme systemizing

    I'm kind of surprised. I would have guessed Systemizing, but not EXTREME Systemizing! Garsh, I feel like a robot now. An hybrid.

    Excuse that, but I have to agree. I think my slightly lower than average score (for males SQ) probably came in part from questions that asked about my personal organization and tidiness. Both of them I have never been good at in the physical world. My room is generally not well organized. Messy, to put it bluntly.

    You should see mine, at the beginning of the thread. I think I got 12 in empathy and 133 in systemizing if I remember correctly.
