I find male sopranos a little disturbing.
I didn't think his voice was all that good either.

well he sang it better than I could have, and I am a woman.

    The audience seemed shocked!

I wonder if he can sing tenor also.

    Exactly.
She started very hesitantly, and didn't really sing it that well.
The song is a musical cliche, and she would have done better to choose another.
There was a point in the middle when her wonderful strong voice
shone through, but all too briefly.
The performance overall was a bit disappointing.

    Still, she's through.
Let's see what she comes up with in the final.

People's votes this time are very predictable.

The song was too high for her voice. She excels in a lower register.

There's a bit more to it than that. When she came on stage for the first time she acted like a demented old bint. She was totally unfunny, raucous, cringeworthy and clearly with a high opinion of herself. The crowd were basically shouting 'off' before she had even opened her mouth to sing. Everyone was certain that she was just another dreadful wannabe.

Her personality hasn't changed, even though we now know that she's a bit more special than that. I find it difficult to watch her so-called 'banter' with the judges without digging my nails into the sofa. She's a freak, no denying it (and that's without even a passing reference to her looks).

So that's why she's a unique phenomenon among talent show contestants. It's not a matter of 'judging a book by its cover', her beautiful singing voice seems to be her only redeeming quality.

Don't believe me? Compare her, for example, with Michelle Mcmanus.

Now she's no oil painting, but she managed to win Pop Idol in 2003. Did she have anything like the media attention Sue is receiving? Hell no. Why? Because the girl was likeable, and appeared to be in possession of at least basic social skills (and a fiancé I might mention). Something which, evidently, Sue is not.

When she got through to the finals and kept doing that little shakey, shimmy thing I felt a little bit ill and hugely embarrassed for her. And her voice in the semifinals was really disappointing. I don't rate Ms Boyle.

Everyone's a fuckin critic thanks to these talent shows lol.

Sue's got Talent, she can sing, she can sing better with some coaching. She's already got a good fanbase(even if only weird spinstresses stick with her), she's "made it". It's nice she finally got a break, can't people just be happy for someone, so obviously down on their luck and has turned it around?

I don't like musical's songs either. They are ghey(not homosexual gay - but sometimes lol), they are mostly for women etc etc etc. So what.

I love songs from musicals I just don't think it's fair that the only reason she has so much hype is because she's so unattractive. She can sing, she has got talent but no more than any singer in any musical in the west end.

    Diversity First. Sue Boyle Second.
The best act on the night won.

SB didn't look well at all.
She looked like a weight had been taken off her shoulders when she came second.

Diversity is a fun act to watch. Almost as fun as Stavros Flatley. Almost

I thought Susan Boyle did better singing (all around hitting the notes) this version. I was surprised she re-did Dreamed. Its been fun watching her.

That guy (Julian) on the sax is very good and should find himself in a better place musically now.

Truth is, without the Susan Boyle intro to BGT, I would have not spent anytime following the show.
