I noticed just now that some comments in the Baby sacrifice thread had been deleted. They were about Jews and baby sacrifice. I also remember that comments made about Jews in other forums are also usually (but not always) deleted. However, comments about Christians or Muslims are almost never deleted, even if warnings are issued.

Is this a deliberate policy for some reason?

Yes. The moderators are all Jewish and hate Muslims, SAM.

Give it a rest. You're like a broken record.

I just find it odd. Buffalo's mega off topic cut and pastes are never deleted.

But Roman writes an accurate on topic statement in a thread and its deleted.

Sam you could give a good cause a bad name. This is beginning to seem too much, its alienating and you seem to push nothing more than a personal 'agenda', these grievances now seem to have nothing to do with the quality of the site or other members. You are proving your detractors right.

When comments about Jewish ritual sacrifice are deleted in a thread about ritual sacrifice, I cannot ask why?

Anyway, I've added the points back along with some others.. Lets see.

I don't like the notion of selectively deleting posts.

Unless you'd already read the thread, you would not even know that posts were missing.

Of course it is. I am the only one who objects to going back to a thread and finding mine or other peoples on-topic posts missing.

No, it's just that atheists never think things through.

You have opened thread after thread about your missing posts or your closed threads. We all get the picture and frankly I don't think many others here are that put out about it. You are grand-standing for your own benefit not that of the entire site. Its alienating, you fail to convince.

Thats okay, I am not particularly concerned with what others think.

If I have a question, I ask it.

Otherwise, I have been told that there was no report and hence no action taken.

Well then send them a pm if its that important to you. Do you have to open a thread about it?

My experience with such PMs is that they are ignored.

However, maybe now other people will check their posts after writing them.

Its not something people usually do.

I disagree with that. People do check their posts, not to see if they are still there but to check what was written after by other posters. I don't believe you are doing this out of concern for other posters. This is beginning to look like the 'Sam I Am' show.

That's funny, every moderator I've PM'ed has responded back adressing my concern. I don't have to scream my bloody head off, wave my arms and throw garbage all over the room to get anyone's attention. That, would get me ignored.

Yup. Imagine if the deletion was termed "under new UN regulations on hate speech against Islam"

    sam
i used to, in certain situations, save the page
one could then make a big stink, slam the mod, repost or approach from a different angle or another venue

getting the info out is paramount

Ah no, I believe that James and Skin also have sci's best interests at heart.

My intent is not to stink or slam, but to open dialogue.

What people don't realise is that you can also isolate people by overprotecting them.

I will diddle over Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Wicca and any other religion, equally and fairly. I'm nice like that. It is theism as a whole that I find flawed, not any particular religion. If the moderation are pussy-footing around Judaism, they are hypocrites. I don't think the moderation have such an agenda though. Perhaps they do, I can't know.

I don't think they are pussy footing over Judaism per se.

I think they are just overly sensitive to allegations of antisemitism.

They may not even realise that they are selectively deleting posts.

Perhaps I missed out on that because I am Indian.

But thats okay, I have different buttons that they can push
