He was an adequate pope, better than many in history. He did a decent job. The short lived guy before him had more potential though. I just worry about who gets the role next. A nut or a rear-kisser.

I definitely don't see why we need to consider who the next pope will be. Unless we're catholic, which I'm not. I never gave a flyin' rat's ass about this pope and I seriously doubt I will about the next one. And, exactly HOW do the Europeans own the United States? That must good stuff you're on there, Lady. What I should have said was that in the United States the Catholic Church will be struggling for relevence for some time to come while Popes will increasing loose touch with US Catholics over policy.
