i'm not lixluke and i understand why you couldn't give me one example: because there isn't one. it's a completely absurd idea that reality will change to what anybody believes.

The failure is you. Thus far has been nothing of any substance to even come close to supporting the claim that truth is subjective. Or that truth can possibly subjective. Then some people go as far to twist the the definition of objective truth in order to make it exactly the same as subjective truth which is utter avoidance of the view opposing subjective truth. You cannot support a viewpoint simply by denying that the other view exists.

These are 2 opposing views:
1. Truth is solely dependent on the observer.
2. Truth does not require any observer.

To disagree with #2 is one thing. But to deny the fact that people view truth according to #2 is unrealistic.

I'll go one further, lixluke. Anyone arguing with us on this subject are confirming the fact that they agree with us. The only real responses that would serve to buttress the view that all truth is subjective would be some of the following:

Any of the above are what I would expect from someone who truly believes that all truth is subjective. Hell, arguing ANY point belies a deep belief that Objective Truth exists, so I don't think you could be a member of this forum and not agree with our position.

Another problem for subjectivists is that they grant that any idea is equally correct, which means our idea for an Objective Truth is given equal power as their idea for No Objective Truth. Score: 1 to 1. Our idea (which they have already granted as equally correct) says that we are right and they are wrong. Score: 2 to 1. Winner? Objective Truth!

 

Warning guys. You're debating objectivism is the truth in a subjectivist world and thread, hats off to your sanity.

This is total hosh, someone thinking that they understand how subjective truth is wrong from a biased and ignorant perspective of objective truth being correct.

It would come across to anyone who has any idea what objective truth is in theory would never say such a comment.. It is biased and expects discussion which is obviously not going to happen.

Don't expect any high quality discussion from me though. Expect the truth though that's about it. Right now I am obliverated and astonished and amazed at how stupid and ignorant you can be. Do you realize that you are debating subjectivists that objective truth is correct? Do you know what happens to people who debate subjectivists that objective truth is correct?

The OP is a very subjective description which has objective implications.
