thank you, very constructive. maybe a little imagination wouldn't go amiss, I don't expect fact, just fictional ideas of what the future may hold.
Well, your question was quite clear "Can anyone comprehend..". I just answered your question. If you wanted speculation you said have said so.
I think he means to say that probably, at one point in the future, technology won't be able to advance anymore because we will either have reached our limits or because there just isn't anything else to discover.
Technology can be a very good tool in helping solve many problems that humans have today and will continue to have forever. It can be very useful in the right hands but can also be very destructive in the hands of a mad man. It is up to the people to decide what technology they want to have to be of either a help or a problem. Sometimes even technology can be a destructive force as well as a healing force at the same time , atomic energy or atomic bombs. So humans will see many paths to take with technology but they had better choose the correct ones or they will face extinction themselves.
exactly nothing else to discover... i just presumed as we can't see into the future the response would be speculative. i can see i'll have to choose my words carefully Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! there must come a point in time where consciousness reaches a supreme state of mind where the physical is no longer required?
It is possible in the future to see that happening but that's a very long way away and humans may not want to seek that direction with technology.
Well, speculation is still based on some fact. We don't have any of those here, so I would rather call it fantasy Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I don't think so. How do you reckon that would work ?
It will end the day humans go extinct- but that's just human technology (not intelligent organisms on other worlds assuming there are any). ......so now the question is whether or not humans will go extinct.
It's a fact that one day the sun will swallow the Earth. And it's a fact that humans die when exposed to such temperatures.
who's to say the human race by this time may have evolved into something more advanced and will discover new worlds elsewhere? even when the universe is shredded into it's constituent atoms, who's to say advanced life evolved from humans may discover pathways into new universes. who's to say time began at some point and the future will end at some point?
It's silly to assume humans will be trapped into living only on Earth, especially in that time frame. Our technology will advance to the point at which someone invents a weapons that would destroy the entire universe, after which we will all be that person's slaves.
Where would they go but to another solar system ? There it'll just happen again.. At any rate, I'm pretty damn sure humanity will die out some day.
